I'm in the middle of fabricating my own bag mounts. I wanted Happy Trail mounts like the SU on my KLR. Since they aren't selling the mount alone, and the mount is different, I have to make my own. I'll post pics when I'm finished.

I got my pannier fill panels back from the painter this week. They did a great job, it's almost a perfect match in color. Just in time for the hottest month of the year!

Yeah, but it's a dry heat! I do not miss 120-degrees in July! Looks good!

It ranged anywhere from 91 to 98 degress today. To hot for this time of year. Dale did give away free ice cream to help cool us down.

I finished the rack and will post pics later. I also spooned on a Perelli MT-60 on the front. I'm planning on mounting a Tourance tomorrow. I'd do it today, but I need to buy a tire and all the local shops are closed on Mondays. I found a cut in the one currently on the rear. I'm leaving Wednesday morning for points east so I need to get it done first thing tomorrow.

Why the difference in front and rear tires? How easily do the tires spoon on to the Versys wheel?

Hopefully I will be able to buy a Versys when they are relased for CA. I currently have a KLR685 and I like it though beleive teh Versys fits my riding needs better. Sure wish the wheelbase was 2-3 inches longer.

those issues have most likely been solved by others, don't loose precious riding time, go ahead and ask out loud Unless, it's not the bike that has those issues

Well, one issue is the shift lever seems too short for my foot which wears only a 9 1/2 shoe.It seems that another inch in length would be better. Also I just noticed today that the clutch cable goes through a 'coat hanger wire' sort of guide beside the ignition unit. When the wheel is turned side to side there seems to be significant binding on the clutch cable.I am wondering if it might be better removed. WILLIAM T.,glad your bike has no 'issues'....................Cheers,Ron.

The foot peg position and shift lever adjustment has been covered on another forum. They used a foot peg that can be adjusted in multiple positions.
