Thanks Jason Abbot

I was a little nervous about taking the KLR up the Trinity lookout trail. The last time I was up there was in the early 90's and just WALKING it was scary as hell. But after reading the Abbot's RR about taking it 2up I figured I could make it solo. Definitely should have put on the 14 tooth c/s though.

Thanks for the inspiration guys, next stop ,
Atlanta

Very nice.

I'd like to get to Atlanta this fall, for an overnighter in the hotsprings, before winter sets in.

OK Trailrider, just did the math on my odometer 716 miles traveled in basically two days That's for the ride but I am beat up.

Kujo1967,

Congratulations sometimes we need a little push, and yes, I've ridden with Jason and his wife all I can do is shake my head they are something a good team.

I'm looking forward to the ride report on this one. 716 miles is one heck of a weekend.

Yep, there are three engines in that picture. Well, one you can't really see unless you know where to look.

That's in the Pueblos, right? Just northwest of Denio? Did you happen to get a lat lon while there?

Glad you made it up! It's beautiful right now with all the leaves turning color. Lower gearing would definitely be nice through some of the final sections up to the lookout. I wish it was as easy as a sprocket change for me. On the XR650L I always carried one I could swap out in a few minutes. With the GS I just fume.

Atlanta sounds like fun. I've never been. I don't know how many more rides I have permission for this year, though.
