As I recall the parking lot is about 3 miles from where the pavement ends but it's been a few years....

Learned something today, according to mapquest and mapsource that portion of the road is Sunset Peak Rd.

Go up 8th St. where it turns into Hulls Gulch Park go up the road about 3.5 miles look to the right on top of a plato thats the unload/load parking area.

OK, lets keep a close eye on the weather conditions and be prepared for Plan B

Only 40 degrees at the base of Bogus - so far, so good.

Hmmmm....

Forcast says 80% chance of rain, and low of 38 in the valley - looks like Bogus will likely get snow.

So, we'd better have a good Plan B (as Sam said).

I could do Hemmingway to Rabbit Creek via single and double.

We could do Hemmingway to Slate again (that was fun).

I've not ridden Rabbit much, and I've not ridden Fossil hardly at all - if we go one of those two places, we'll be in 'exploration' mode. (AKA... 'where the hell are we?')

We could also go out to Sam's playground (Pleasent Valley)...

Yeahhhh!!, I'm sitting with my gear on in "Alert" mode. I'll almost bet Bogus will have just enough snow to make riding a test of the crash gear. I can go with any of the other suggestions. I love exploration mode.

Just got home from my party and I'm feeling pretty good right now! So, it appears Bogus MAY have some snow, I'll check again here at 8 AM to see what plan of action is necessary.

Looks like Bogus got a skiff of snow.

So, we better go to plan B.

We'll meet at the Hemmingway parking lot at 11:00am. From there we can ride over to Rabbit Creek and explore Rabbit Creek. If anyone has another idea in mind, then I'm all ears - other wise, that's what we'll go with.

I'll be leaving early, so if anyone has any questions, call my cell - I emailed to to most everyone who said they were interested.

Dust will not be an issue. Looking at the satellite picture it appears there will be a break in the rain but it could just be a sucker hole.

Will be in contact with MotoRogue at 9:00 AM, he has a new to him 640 he wants to put some miles on, and I think Todd from Happy Trails wants to get out also.

Will let you know if we be able to hook up with your group.

Ryan - Norb and Todd have Padick Res in mind and a shorter time frame that fits better. Have fun in the Owhyees.
