Enjoyed that. Looks like a good time. What was the conclusion on the cave(s)? Walk right in?

Good Job!!!! You got a bunch of great pics. I'm going to pick this one as my favorite. I like the clouds in the hot springs.

I forgot the name of the first one, but yes, that one is walk/duck right in. Bring a POWERFUL light! Headlamps don't cut it! Second one, 40 mile cave, bring a ladder.

Thanks Ed! I wish I had time do a narrative, but work is consuming me down here. We are starting 6 12's next week. Also on a sad note, the Superhawk is officially for sale. If anyone on here is interested and it doesn't sell here in Denver, it'll be back in Idaho mid summer.

Well Tyson, I throughly enjoyed the pictorial I know there is a great story in there so a narrative would have been great. I would have enjoyed that ride except for the mud.........I HATE MUD!!! PERIOD especially the goo type, other than that Excellent job on the pictures and Ed you never fail to deliver on great exploratory desert rides.

Must do rides in Boise area?

Not sure if this is the right place to post, if not please point me in the right direction.

I am heading to Boise for a few days, 29th-1st and I am bringing my LC4 enduro with me.

I grew up in Boise and know the area, but I never owned a motorcycle while living there.

I want to get a 5-8 hour ride in on Tuesday the 31st and was looking for suggested "must do" routes starting in the Boise area.

I prefer forest roads/jeep trails but can get through some pretty technical stuff just don’t want to spend the whole day doing it.

Anyone got any suggestions for someone visiting from Arizona? Or anyone want to go riding on Tuesday the 31st?

Thanks
Chris

Chris, I can't commit yet but I may be up for a ride then. Either way, you'll have no problem getting a list of great routes. Other guys have a lot more local miles so I'm curious to see their suggestions before I weigh in.

Too many possibilities to even bother starting a list.

I'd say, if Jason is willing to take you out, then head out with him ~ he'll know where to take you. Maybe Bogus will be open by then, and he'll drop you over the back side onto Harris Creek Summit in Placerville and Idaho City. Doubt Grimes Pass will be open by then... but one never knows until you go look.

I figured I would just head up 8th street or rocky canyon and see what I see.

I'll be shooting for some back roads north in a few weeks (taking my daughter to college orientation ) so wouldn't mind scouting that direction with you. I'm already taking a bunch of days off for that and other things so I need to get the vibe for taking off yet another day. Shouldn't be a problem. Plenty to see no matter what direction you/we go.

That's what I'd do (8th st) or head up Banks Grade and go north to Cascade ~ that'll be very pretty of it's open.

Just an observation, but there aren't hardly any upcoming events on motoidaho. Last year was packed with rides this time of year. I know cause that's what inspired me to buy the KLR. Almost had that bike for a year now. Just an observation that's all. Might it have something to do with the spectacular weather in Idaho this year?

Rode the Superhawk 300 miles today. I will say this: If I still lived in Colorado, the bike wouldn't be getting sold. Fantastic pavement here! Brand new Michelin Pilot Power 2CTs. Sticky! I think I passed at least 60 cars in the double yellow today. It's so easy with that bike! Twist the throttle and you've passed the car in like 2 seconds. Onto the next corner... I had a blast today!
