Nothing like a Big Twin to twist your crank... I did a zig zag route through the rockies on my Duc ST4s a few years ago and it was the t*ts. BTW Trevor said the 800 is at Happy Trails so seeing as your out of town, I figure I'll stop by and fondle it on my way through Boise to the races at MMP ...

There's a lot of people that get to fondle my bike before I do. I'm gonna have to let her know I'm the true master when I get back there!

I'd say, if Jason is willing to take you out, then head out with him ~ he'll know where to take you. Maybe Bogus will be open by then, and he'll drop you over the back side onto Harris Creek Summit in Placerville and Idaho City. We took the road out of Pioneerville toward Pilot Peak this weekend. We got up to 5650 ft. elevation before the snow stopped us.

I'm not sure how high Grimes Pass is, but that should give an idea of where the snow line is.

The hills were melted last year, by this time, compared to this year, where we're still socked in.

I think that has a lot to do with it.

I know my riding won't be a tenth of what it was last year ~ that's just the way it goes, sometimes.

I grew up in Boise and know the area, but I never owned a motorcycle while living there.

I prefer forest roads/jeep trails but can get through some pretty technical stuff just don’t want to spend the whole day doing it.

On Saturday The Wife and I took a ride over Rabbit creek summit to the North Fork of the Boise. We took the shortcut over to the middle fork from Barber Flats to Alexander flats and down the middle fork. Nothing technical but a nice ride. The shortcut over the mountain is fun. There are some side trips you could take in that area as well.

I have notice that too. I think that is the intention of the "Post your own ride" challenge site is to hopefully get more people to post rides. At least the weather is FINALLY getting a little better!!

Agreed. Truth is, about 5 guys were posting about 80% of the rides too... so I hope that some other folks will start posting a bunch of rides this year.

That is so true Ryan.

I have posted one, the Prairie Poke along ride good turn out of 23 riders, and now I am going to the KLIM Adventure Rally soon (Posted) but no takers.

Three days after getting back I leave again for the Hells Canyon Rally (not posted) planned out a route of almost all dirt, I think much of this will follow much of Ryan's ride last year.

Truth be told the weather here has not been cooperative.
