Quit yer whining.

If you want to ride, I'll be riding by Emmett about 8:00 Saturday morning on my way to Garden Valley. I have a 30 minute job to do and then I'm going to go ride around there for a few hours. I'll stop back by and make sure it's fixed on my way home.

I helped park hundreds of vehicles over 4 days at the Cherry Festival.

I think I would rather have been following RWC waiting for him to blow the rest of my headlight off my Suzuki with roost from his back tire

Ride this Sunday?

I need to get out for a day. I'm hoping to hit a few close in Challenge sites. Ola, High Valley Guard Station, Banner Mine, Little Beaver Creek and maybe Grandjean. Anyone wanna go along? Should be a fair bit of pavement and nothing too difficult, I think. Still planning so it's flexible. Figuring on Sunday. Lemme know.

Hi Jason,

I'm hanging out in Cascade right now but depending on what my doctor says next week... we'll see. I get on the internet at the Library here in Cascade, so I'm not frequently online.

What? I missed a story. I'm going up to my high school reunion, which is the 9th. Wife had a business trip so was gonna ride. Now that may be changing so I'll let you know. Was thinking to cut over from Riggins to Elk City, then camp at Selway Falls. Did Banner Ridge and Grangeville-Salmon road a couple weeks back and saw plenty of snow so I'm sure there would be some routing on the fly.

I'm jealous. Selway will be beautiful right now.

This warm weather is melting everything under 7k really fast. Even Trinity is melting 3-4 inches per day now.

Do you think the area around Baumgartner will be rideable by July 5th? We've got an annual ride planned. I've been worried about the snow.

Didn't get to ride this weekend, but did take a few hours to nearly-finish my dad's XT225 for him. Just need the decals to get here in the mail, put the clear coat on, and he'll be ready to ride again.

I've hit Baumgartner July 4th, the last few years in a row, and have never been able to get over 8k due to the shadows. I keep trying to get up to Iron Mt. but have never made it due to snow.

If you stay lower than 8k, you'll be fine. Should be able to get over Dollarhide by then too, as it's down to 19 inches, and melting 3 inches per day!

Keep in mind, most of the snow weather stations are in the sun, which means there's still more snow in the shaded corners. But, I can assure you someone will break over Dollarhide in a 4x4 over 4th of July, and a bike can follow their tracks.

Attempted Hawley Mtn. lookout Saturday with my brother. We were just able to squeeze through the snow in the shadows around the Porter Creek turnoff (~6800 ft), but unfortunately got turned around by a fairly big fallen tree about 4 miles from the lookout. So anyone headed that direction would need a saw to punch through. The views from the ridge were very nice...
