I'm pretty sure that's the best looking XT I've seen.

This is a go. I'll e-mail the couple of you that expressed interest. To reiterate, this is a Thursday, July 7 ride up to camp around Selway Falls. I have a Friday afternoon appointment in the Moscow area so need to have most the distance done Thursday. You're on your own to get back home. I won't be returning until Sunday.

Succor Creek Wildlife

Kurt and I did a nice 240 mile loop. Boise, Pleasant Valley, Cinder Cone, Grandview, Oreana Cutoff, Bachman Grade, Flint Rd, Jordan Valley, Succor Creek, Homedale, slab back home. Beautiful, green landscape right now.
Saw this rattler while riding through Succor Creek State Park late yesterday afternoon.

Good to know ~ thanks! I'll take my saw if I head up there this weekend.

I'm pretty sure they don't make a telephoto lense powerfull enough for me to get a pic of a rattler that close up.

Man, it's quite in here this summer. Everyone stuck doing something else, other than riding?

I was fixing my first flat tonight. Picked up a puncture. 9000 plus miles on the KLR with 1 flat. Now only 1400 on the Tiger and 1 flat. It is pretty quiet in there this summer. How's school and such? That XT is beautiful man! Great job!!

BTW. I named my Tiger Hobbes today. Perfect. The Adventures of Tyson and Hobbes. It was my favorite comic growing up. Now, instead if calvin pissing on something, I think I'll get Hobbes pissing on the BMW emblem!

What was the reason for doing that for your dad? Other than being a great son. Was it beat up or was there a crash I missed hearing about?

Speak for yourself brah. I have over 2000 mile in from Rigby to Hells Canyon. I been hanging out at my place up in Cascade and as you know I have no internet other than going to the library and logging on.

I been on the DRZ cruising/exploring the hills on the east side of Horsethief reservoir man there's a lot of old logging roads up there. I am home as of today ( I have a doctor appointment) but heading back up Friday. I been riding the DRZ and it left me high and dry on the back side of a mountain. seems the battery decided it had enough. stalled out in a washout on an old logging road and no start. had like 9 volts showing damn near killed myself pushing, cussing, sweating and grunting get that thing out and up a hill so I could do a bump start....

I need to get a new battery before heading back up. Take care

Oh yea West Mountain still has a ton of snow.

He likes riding it to work and didn't want to roll on a beater. Unlike me, he actually likes his bikes to look decent.

At least it started for you eventually. My poor KLR took a dump on Chinese Wall, and I had to get the truck up there for it.

That must have been the famous SPOON Ride you took... seems I kinda remember that story

Yes I finally got it up a hill 25 degree one only about 50 yards but that DRZ felt much heavier heaving up, and that god the engine was warmed up cause I had to roll back into that washout to start it. would have been a long 15 mile walk to Cascade.
