Panamint Springs is less expensive than Furnace Creek and all the facilities (gas, store, cafe, shower, & internet) are right there rather than having to go down the road a mile or two. Just remember when you are doing your planning Panamint Springs is already booked up from the 28th - 31st for a bunch of other ADVers http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=841673.

I'll be arriving for the rally early (the 24th) before the crowds and it would be nice to see you guys down there if our dates in the valley overlap.

Hi'ya LB, is it cooling off nicely up there? I think your off on the timing as I am going end of February. I just check the sire for availability, and at present everything is open for the aforementioned timeline.

Also it would be about 10 degrees cooler there so more like 60's and low 30's but nice and warm on the riding part.

I'll bring this up this coming weekend at the get together.

Probably camp at Texas Springs at Furnace Creek. There are some cabins that a free gratis, on a first come basis up in the hills.

She hears:
Loddy dotty, blah, blah...Death Valley , blah, blah doo dee doo dum, March March? Ooooh I'll be in Death Valley in March.

OK I got so excited at the thought of the fun Boise kids being in Death Valley at the same time I'll be there I missed the important part - Two different ends of the month.

Fine go there a month before me and I'll just have to see you in Hells Canyon instead

Just popped in to say hi. Was in DV this summer for four days. We stayed at Panamint springs and it was awesome! PERFECT temps at night in the middle of summer. Nice place with trees. Furnace Creek at the bottom of the valley and may even be on the warm side for this time of year. Post #504 is the start of my DV report on page 34 of my thread HERE. For those that have never been there, the Racetrack and Aguereberry Point were probably two of my favorites while there. Just my thoughts...

So, It's been pretty quite in here and I know the reason was/is many have had extremely busy summers and I'm sure some GREAT adventures to share. So I think now that the season has slowed and we survived and given thanks to Thanksgiving it would be nice gather for an afternoon before the next large Holiday onslought and Chat it up.

I myself would like to sit and discuss a couple of rides I have in the works, and to discuss whom might be interested. But mainly it would be enjoyable to just sit, chat, eat and in general catch-up with the Boise gang.

Well I hope you two had a Great ride. The date is set; Depart morning of 22 February Arrive Saturday at Panamint Springs Resort. Sunday thru Friday Ride/Explore Pack-up Friday head home Saturday morning.

I have two others on the in myself and a possible one more. If that happens my truck is full. I am going to camp... they have a shower. I liked the Furnace Creek area but having to pay extra for a shower at the swimming pool, Na!

So, I will have a three place trailer loaded and one in the bed of my truck.

Prefect timing, it's started snowing. Hope the ride was good.
