...so you should have plenty of company.
Sam;
it's your trip down there that got me thinking about going... I can't get off work for your trip, so I started thinking how I could get down there and remembered the fam is going to LA at the end of March to see my daughter... so I decided to let them drive on their own and I'll take the bike...

I didn't know about the rally... "NOOB RALLY"!!... hmmm describes me pretty well I guess!!I was thinking of staying at Panamint Springs, but now I think I'll stay clear of there... and camp somewhere else... don't like crowds much

I'll be waiting to read your ride report so I can plan my trip... thanks!

Thanks man! I sold the KLR over the weekend and have wanted a bigger adventure style bike for awhile. Besides that one ride we did last year, and a few other times, I mainly ride with guys on gsa's and 990's. We'll have to go ride again sometime so I can test the tigers abilities off-road!

That is cool you managed to work that-in. Well I too will be making frequent trips to LA in my future, probably road trips though... finally have an excuse to ride highway 1 and 101. My daughter starts her graduate work at UCLA this fall.

Rick, don't forget to look at the October 2012 issue of the IAMC Newsletter for Alan & Katy's DV ride report and GPS tracks before you go.

Thanks! You got a good looking bike there Sam! I haven't gotten a chance to stretch her legs let, but already really like the bike. Can I ask what crash bars you have on your girlie and where you purchased them at? Also are those HT panniers? If so what size? hope to see you out on the road this year!

Hi'ya, The guards and highway pegs are HT products as are the Panniers. I have the original Tiger panniers and mounting hardware in storage.

Not sure but you may able to special order the Guards for the tiger... will probably have to wait a bit for manufacture; that is if he still has the template.

Could maybe make you a good deal on the Triumph Panniers.
