Atlanta Area

Headed out after work Friday, and headed up towards Atlanta.

We knew we weren't going to get into Atlanta before sunset, so we pulled off at the hotsprings off FS255 and found a good place to throw up a camp.

There were 30 or so elk & deer in the hot springs area when we went to soak. We scared most of them off, but a few remained, intrigued by my extreme pale and pasty winter white skin.

Around midnight, we were chatting it up and soaking in the water, with a deer (which had apparently swam across the river) walked up and over the bank, nearly stepping on us in the process! Scaring the CRAP out of Lane and I, it took off more frightened than we were... having nearly stepped on our heads in the process.

The next day we went to the Y Stop for lunch, and he hold us about Smith Creek Falls... so... naturally we set out to find it.

Turns out... I'd ridden right past them a dozen times (including last week on Sam's Poker Run), and didn't even know they were there!

Can you find Waldo??

Good times!

Ryan, it warms my heart to see you out there again, good for the soul. I like this shot, guess I'll need to go out and look for it. I think it's close to the falls under the tree by the road.

Jason, I am so amazed at the patience you have what a great mentor you are to your son. Your an inspiration.... the bonds your building with you kids is incredible.

So, now that your GS less Jess isn't riding anymore? Did Boulder Basin do her in?

Well just returned from a great 3 day ride encompassing some 800 miles.

Just some highlight shots as I am not doing a RR

OK Sorry All, I forgot that ADV and Photobucket don't get along anymore.

Here's a short clip of the hour long presentation... unedited snippet.

End of the Transcontinental RR line

That's all Folks

Thanks again to those who rode along...

Get out there it's riding time.

Great stuff! Didn't know you had a bigger bike. Happy to see the hills ready for camping and adventure. I'll be looking for those falls.

Nearly! We got her a TW200. She had a practice ride that ended with bruises and bent bars (http://trailimage.com/first-family-ride) but still a smile. Her sister has a cabin up at Atlanta so maybe we'll do something like Ryan's ride soon.
