Riding a good paved twistie back road is anything but boring. That's why I love riding FR 39. Sports Touring is great if the scenery compliments it.

LOVED my Tiger run to Glacier From Challis up through Montana

The right machine+the right road+ the scenery with a bit of speed thrown in for good measure

This guy is taking it easy but scenic.

This one is more to my liking!!!

I teach Special Education, and have a very different schedule than most teachers. My groups are small, and very intensive. About 1/2 of my day is instruction, 1/2 of it is sitting at the computer doing paperwork like IEP's (Individualized Education Plans), Eligibilty Reports, and all the other crap required by the state. My brain needs frequent breaks from that junk, so I have a hot link to the "Boise thread" that I check a few times a day to see what's going on...

Way to go

Ryan the bike is looking great can not wait to hear it run and take it for a little test run. I hate to ride stock new bikes now, they seem so tame. Let me know when you guys are doing the little road ride, I am up to 7500 RPM'S NOW. It makes the bike preform at a whole new level.

Just got back today from a 2 day trip to Hell's Canyon with Heath. Heck yeah, that was a trip. We were just having this conversation about how great the right pavement can be. I came to realize that, if worked hard enough, the DR650 and XR650L can both be sport touring bikes.

Pics soon.

Okay, so this was our trip to Hell's Canyon this weekend. Admittedly, I didn't get a ton of pictures.

First, we stopped in Cambridge after a chilly ride. So we stopped for some hot coffee and something with a few callories. Heath's heart tried to object to his cinamon roll with about a quarter pound of butter on top, but Heath vetoed and chowed down.

Then a spectacular ride into the canyon, where temps dropped dramatically. In no particular order:

With clouds and snow seemed really fitting in this place.

Dam.

From which we came:

Never seen this one before:

We were headed towards the store that Heath assured me was down by the dam.

He was wrong.

End of the road

(Don't bother looking for the store in the pictures, it's not there. It wasn't at the end of the road, either)

This one makes it look like Heath was high siding
