Question WR450F (2012) for Continental Divide Adventure Ride - Mods?

I am trying to kit out a WR450F (2012) that I own in the USA as an Adventure Bike for riding the Continental Divide Trail (3500km or so).

Does anyone know anyone who has run a WR450F as an adventure bike, and if so could you please pass me on their details so I can check what kind of mods they have done to make it all work?

Currently I am looking at putting on:
1. 16L front Safari Tank
2. 5L rear Safari Tank
3. Some kind of Pannier (B&B make a rack + a giant loop bag)
4. Increase the gearing for road/gravel riding
5. Maybe a more comfortable seat (but unsure what to get)

Any feedback would be much appreciated, I understand that this isn't the ideal bike for a long adventure ride, however I already own it so please refrain from posting replies like: "Swap it for a DR" - it's not really an option for me.

Thanks in advance!
