Lets Ride!!

A few little farkels.
I bought a Pelican 1400 case the other week. I did a little modification to make it just like I want it. I attached it to the rear rack with rubber lined clamps. A 1gal RotoPax is mounted to the top.
![]() The elastic net is made for the door of a Jeep Wrangler. I secured it to the lid for my electronics. I have 2 USB ports mounted to a piece of angled aluminum. The back of the net also protects electronics from the RotoPax hardware. ![]() I installed a cig outlet for my Slime pump. ![]() Power from the bike. The wiring is tucked up and out of the way and the fuse box is underneath the side panel. ![]() Built a shelf and lined it with foam. The Slime pump slides underneath the shelf. ![]() Tool bag fits in perfectly. ![]() What I couldn't fit in the Pelican case went in here. ![]() ![]() Wolfman side racks for my dry bags. They are modified racks for a WR250R. Did a little welding and powdercoating. ![]() ![]() I also powdercoated the heat shields. I hate chrome! Also installed bark-busters, foldable mirrors and moved the rear turn signals to allow room for the side racks.

80/20
Just recently, I came across this material that I can see having potential value for motorcycle farkels. It's like extruded aluminum Unistrut.

Newner Loop
Borrowed Newner's idea but did drop $25 on a new pr of coveralls. Tent in one leg. Jetboil, Helinox, Exped mat, food, axe in other leg. Sleeping bag across the top. Was on the verge of buying a GreatBasin or NomadRider when I ran across this. Thank you Newner!

Nice!
I wonder if anyone's done it with a pair of rain pants yet.

K Bike LED Parking Lights V2.0:
The stock square headlight for the old K-RS/RT/LT bikes has a 10W white filament bulb and associated reflector in the top of the headlight assembly. ![]() V1.0: Many moons ago I found a 12V 18-LED bar to replace the parking. Old LED tech and not incredibly bright but at least it was LED. ![]() After messing with all sorts of things I ended up mounting four of these $5/ea "aquarium" LEDs from Fleabay to pieces of PCB project board with some brass wire and then installed them in both sides of the top of the headlight. Since the bike is painted green and I wanted something that would stick out in traffic I put a pretty bright green BA9s LED where the old parking light bulb used to be. ![]() ![]() ![]() And of course I also wired them up with relays to double as turn signals:

Firefighters use a green light on their vehicles (Google; it's true.) Cool farkle, especially the turn signals, but unless Duck is a firefighter the green should probably go. In WA it is definitely cause for a stop, as the green can only be lit by a firefighter en-route to an emergency.
Red and blue are similarly not allowed for public use as forward-facing lights; medics and law enforcement, respectively.
