Ayup, we're off into obscure obscure sesquiplane with no discernable or interesting features territory.

Someone correct me here but as I recall the Brits are building two aircraft carriers and have an order in for F-35's. They recently went back and forth as to whether to buy the B version or the C version and equip the carriers with catapults, but it's pretty much a done deal.

The Queen Elizabeth-class (formerly the CV Future or CVF project) is a class of two aircraft carriers being built for the Royal Navy. HMS Queen Elizabeth is expected to enter service in 2016 and HMS Prince of Wales in 2018.
My concern of the Brits naval air capability stems from their retirement of their Harriers...

Quote:
With the retirement of the Harrier GR7/9 in 2010, there are no carrier-capable fixed-wing aircraft available in the Royal Navy or Royal Air Force.[42] Their expected replacement is the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II.[43]

I believe we're back to ramps. One ship is going straight into mothballs once it's built and it's looking like we're in for a long wait for planes, if we ever get any.

On the plus side we've got typhoons stationed on the Falklands.

I was surprised to see that once again, Brazil has an aircraft carrier with A-4s aboard.

Great Lakes?

Last two have had Kinner K-5 power, but notice that one rotates right hand, and the other left hand.

,
Retired the through deck cruisers so there was no use for the aircraft, temporarily leaving the Brits without any carrier assets. There must be some maintenance issues going on there.
