The Italians actually flew this into BH on missions in the 90's. No air-to-air radar, limited loadout, poor range, etc. They were a joy to control as they had very little SA and rely heavily on GCI.

I always wondered what would happen if a 4 ships of Italian AMX's went head to head with a 4 ship of Yugo Galebs. Ahh, good times.

I always thought this old photochop was kinda funny. Considering it's sposta be a stealth bomber shouldn't it read, "If you can read this, we're fucked"?

The guys with the Galebs better be much, much better flyers, because with a 200mph speed advantage the AMX guys are going to tear them to pieces. The AMX is a much newer plane.

Yeah, but the Galebs trade outright speed for nose authority. Just about any airframe can be modified to carry a Python IV which can negate any supposed advantage.

There's a story floating around about how a Super Galeb and some Mig21's bombed the NATO base at Tuzla.

Makes for interesting reading however unlikely it may be.
