Years ago, there was an 18 parked at an FBO around here that also had an A&P school. It was red, and had the Budweiser logo on it...looked like an old corporate bird. I never heard the story on it but guessed that it was a donated bird for the students to play with.

So, yeah...I climbed on it. No one said anything. Then jumped in it. Oh, man. Sat there until I was baked in the summer sun. It was mostly gutted but enough was there for me to play around like a kid.

None of ours are currently air worthy. Though judging from a distance I'd say maybe 1/3 of them could be brought up to it fairly easily. Like our Mu-2 probably hasn't flown in a long time, but it's only used to show you this and that about pressurized aircraft. No one does any "work" on it so IM thinking a good once over and cleaning could get it there.


A couple of months ago we were in class and you could here thisbig rumble all of a sudden. The prof said they had been running the engines intermittently all day on the 18.
