My 100 mile commute in 3 minutes

I finally strapped a GoPro to my chest for my commute home on Friday and had it take a picture every 5 seconds, which turned out to be 1 minute of footage. This was just a blur so I slowed it down to three minutes and added some snappy music.
Here's the route I took that day for those that are interested

Route

enjoy

Through the hills looks fun. You can keep the lane splitting, I did that for 3 years and never got comfortable doing it.

You know you just doomed the state even more.

People suffering through Snowpocalipse will see this and want to move to California now (like that doesn't happen every Rose Bowl)

Cool deal. My commute is all freeway. Well, mostly.
I did similar sticking the GP to the side of my head and just letting the video roll. I cut out all the lane splitting as that would scare my wife.
And my commute is only 30 miles each way.

I need to do another one. Maybe next rain storm? Those are fun.

Very cool time lapse. Not sure if it was intentional, but the music and video sync'd up really well when you hit the twisties and the tempo kicked up.

100 mile commute?!?! How often do you do that? I can't imagine spending 6 hours on the road per day.

Nice video. Your afternoon ride puts the sun right in your eyes doesn't it?

Nice!!

I should do that on my 86 mile commute, I'm swing shift and it's not very exciting though, no traffic to speak of.

Wee hours of the morning here across the OC means light traffic going in, land of idiots wall to wall on the way home.
I should do it again just to record all the people using phones and driving in the HOV lane when they don't have stickers or are alone in a car or truck/SUV.

ironically since I had a baby, my home computer set up is sad so I didnt even have sound hooked up when I cut this - I just looked for a song that was the proper duration. Cant go wrong with the Gimme Gimme's

I usually dont do that many canyons so it took a bit longer than it usually does but you really do have to pick; canyons or lane splitting and guess what i usually pick??
I only do it on mondays and fridays becuase there would be no point to it if I went home on weekdays but having said that I usually can do it under two hours..... loosely sticking to the speed limit
