I was wondering if the LeoVince X3 mid pipe could be retrofitted to some other slip-on exhaust, from LeoVince or other manufacturers. Anyone tried this...?

It would seem plausible, that the LeoVince G650X mid pipe end diameter were the same to accept a variety of other slip-on mufflers.

I'm looking for a solution to gain perhaps a slightly longer/larger muffler, yet light weighted, to reduce exhaust noise from the X3, but at the same time retain good flow characteristics.

Umm, does that Staintune work with the LeoVince mid-pipe, that's the question (that I don't know)?

LeoVince X3 for G650X bikes comes as two separate parts:
1. The LV mid-pipe that connects to the OEM header pipe
2. The LV exhaust muffler, that slips on the said LV mid-pipe

I'm thinking that I take the measurement of my LV mid pipe diameter, then rummage through the MX/Bike shop season sales, in quest for an affordable and suitable slightly larger exhaust which should have the same slip-on diameter than the LV mid-pipe.

Of course, this being the Internet age, someone might have done the same thing in the past and could give us all some pointers :)



Oh, well, I'd hope to find a larger diameter head-pipe, as well. Remus makes one I suppose, then its the question where to find or manufacture a suitable mid pipe that would fit such a larger head-pipe, and Also fit some slip-on exhaust (Remus too loud, I believe) . I see an exhaust project in this, yea.

(And no, I do not want to go the full Akra route, that thing cannot be worth its price = gold ;)

Sure there is. I got mine at TreMx.com and I see it is still there for $347.
But somebody posted a better deal somewhere else, maybe try a google search for it?

Renazco Racing has them for about that, plus there is an ADV discount I believe. All I can say is if you want a LV slipon, call Renazco Racing.

I just fitted a GPR too. It's ok, not too load and frees up a bit of power.

3 hours ago I have installed L.V. exhaust, First I have tried with original DB killer which was inside and sound was ok, than I have changed it with short pipe which was in the pack and the sound was very plosive,,,not like Akrapovic (deep sound). Definitely i have decided to change for first option because its sounds better...both options are not as i did expected but ok, for 330 Euros i have better and more beautiful sound. In Box is 4 DB killers 2 longer and two shorter pipes, there are the same and only differences are that two of these u have to install with membrane (spark arrester) and I dont like how its look like when u install it..
