In 1995 I opted for a first year Speed Triple over a Triton and as I grew older (and my spine became less limber) I started wishing that I'd purchased a Triton instead. It would have been a MUCH better all around every day bike. And that a Beauty you have there.

My old Speed Triple. Notice I raised the bars to top mounts

Jodie's 08 Bonneville and my left over 06 Scrambler

Jodie's Ninja actually just sold tonight, not sure if the RT will go or not.

Today, I off to the dealer to put down a deposit for a 2008 Speed Triple in Matt Black with 3 to 1 Arrows exhaust.

This will be my first Triumph.

Actually no. They're motocross style bar risers which I mounted to the stock top triple clamp. There was a boss underneath the triple with enough meat to drill through and bolt the risers on. It was probably cast with this in mind (as a possibality). Then i just added superbike bars. The stock cables were juuuust long enough. I had to get longer brake lines to the master cylinder though. I had under $100 in it and some time.

Some nice turnips here. I won't subject you to a picture of my old dog. Just wanted to say we're fast approaching 100k miles on my 2002 Sprint ST. 93,325, all MINE! I've always wanted to say that about a bike. This will be my first. Combined with the 16k miles I put on a 98 Executive, and the 45k miles I put on a 99 ST I think it's safe to say I really enjoy my Hinkley Triumphs Sport touring, weekend sportbike chasing, a few trackdays, we get to do a lot of fun things.
