Don't listen to them Meef, it's not that bad. Your not going to bed at 20:30 and gettin up to pee at 21:30 then not being able to get back to sleep and watching TV for an hour then going back to bed just to get up in a couple hours to pee again.

NRG ride

I think I might be part woman changing plans like I do, but this is final. I think it's going to be a day trip, leave about 7ish ride down, tool around, take some pics, have some lunch and backroad it home. If anybody wants to go

Christy and I were joking about this last week. We're both 39. You know your getting older when you talk about a relaxing night of sleep like it was sex. "I got a good nights sleep last night!" "No way, no kids or calls from work all night?" "No, I laid down about 10 and slept the whole night through till 7am, it was awsome!"
"Oh, you lucky bastard!"

I think the next step is discussing the way younger drivers are passing you on the road. or how good looking the new greeter at Walmart looks.

First thing? One night for no particular reason you'll favor watching some TV instead of getting oral sex. This preference will surprise even you at first, but will grow to just seem natural, like prefering to wear shorts instead of jeans.

Then, you'll see a 15 year old in a cheerleader outfit holding a can for donations outside the bank, and instead of reeling your tongue in, you'll think to yourself "what a nice young lady, she's sweet".

And then you'll go to pee one time, and think you're done. You'll shake it, think it's all empty, and take 15 steps away only to feel that nature has broken your little pee valve and there's JUST enough left in the tube to produce an awesome "old fart" pee blotch on your khakis.

It only gets worse from there. You'll groan when you have to reach 12" for a toothbrush, and you'll actually consider that a minivan is "pretty handy". You'll find lots of hair in your ears, and you'll curse kids for not knowing that 90's rock was pretty cool.

Age. It's comin for ya, and it's all icky and old-smelling.
STOP looking in my window.....and stay off my lawn!

I decided to quit being so cheap and bought some stuff to make life on the road a little easier. Like a waterproof rafting bag to replace the mail bag and an inflatable mattress. I'm still being cheap on the mattress- I got a $10 pool one (the heavier duty one at least) since I won't be using it very often. And a nice portable air pump for the mattress and in case of a flat.
I did a dry run setup today to make sure everything would re-pack small enough to fit back in the bag. I still need to fit some clothes in there but there's room I think. The tube has my tool kit and a liter of fuel just in case.
The only thing I haven't figured out is how much oil to take and where to put it. If it was my old suzuki I could pick it up at any gas station but I don't feel like tracking down a bike dealer while on a trip in order to get some motorcycle specific oil.

(Yeah, I live on the outskirts of Flatistan)
