Indeed! And, he's still got a head of hair. I can't tell you how envious I am of that.

Thanks Mike & Bruce had a great ride up 555, 78, 676?, 26, 260 to Marietta and back. It was good to just get out and finally enjoy riding, the past year it has been a 1500 week on the GSA. The bike probably has an internal memory chip of how many trips the bike has been back and forth to Philadelphia. I now have 62,000 miles and have taken no relaxing trip on it. I want to do a long trip before the bike hits 100,000 miles.

You guys should have taken some of the more curvy routes.

Speaking of which, I've been tossing around the idea to have a SE Ohio ride one of these days. Breakfast, lunch and then maybe an evening cookout at a cool place I know of in Wingett Run....with plenty of nice roads thrown in for good measure.

Folks could camp at the Wingett Run location and then ride home from there the next day.

Sounds like fun....unless by "one of these days" you're aiming for February.

What rain? It never rains here. (Why did I not ride today then? Hmm.)

If I wasn't at work, I would probably toss on the rain gear and head out on the (uh, your? my?) KLR. I haven't ridden for quite a while, I need to get out.

KLR gets new shoes next week. Finally wore that front Sahara out and the rear Kenda is nearly done... full set of Kenda 760 knobbies for the winter months are waiting to go on.

Also thinking about pulling it apart this winter and getting it more battle ready. Spare clutch cable zip tied to the original, go over the essential bolts and threadlock stuff. How old was that chain/sprockets when you sold it to me? Also, why didn't you like that Jardine slip-on? I was thinking about putting it on.

Normally, I'd PM about this shit. But since it's not inherently personal, and this thread needs some activity, I'll kick it in the ass with some actual motorcycle chatter.

I really want to do the TWVT on it in the spring and do some more difficult terrain, so it's time to get it a real skid plate and gear it up for what I want to do. Need to order spare levers and such too.
