White death is coming down pretty hard here...decided to call in a vacation day and sit with the family, drink a beer or two and enjoy the snow instead of fight it on the commute tonight....plus I get to watch the BCS game for a change.

I got as far as the convenience store just now, less than 1/4 mile from the house and saw two vehicles in the ditch, one of which I was able to pull out but the other was a delivery truck and too much for me. The car I pulled out was a 16 year old girl, who was wearing a t-shirt, tight jeans and Ugg boots. No coat, no gloves, but she was able to text her friends, probably a distress call like "OMG I went ina dich, 4 real, ROFL". I almost felt like she was safer still stuck in the ditch, but she did manage to poke down the road after I got her back on the highway. Yikes, I don't think I'd let my daughter out on these roads so woefully unprepared.

I foresee a deep snow ride tomorrow through the woods, tho....I'm jonesing for some seat time.

I think I'm one of the few around here that really likes the snow. If it's going to be winter give me some freakin' snow, the more the better.

I love to look at it, love to play in it, don't even mind driving in it....if I were the only dipshit on the road. Having a long commute changes my opinion of it sometimes. Wrecks, people driving erratically, or idling down the road in stark terror, ugh.

Then, there's the weight on the roof that causes problems when it gets really deep, plowing and shoveling, and the salt they have to spread all over the fucking place so people can still get their Prius to Curves every day, which rots the most expensive things I own, and...

You know, I'm not sure I like snow at all.
