Well not really but I did ride about 3/4 mile down my parents dirt road and back over the weekend. I forgot how bad a dirt road could get in the spring. Loose gravel, soft sand, mud holes, etc.
The Ninja 250r handled it fine but it was unnerving for a newbie rider not expecting the conditions to be that bad.

Gaining confidence every day.

Follow some of these guys around on the gravel roads and you will be a pro in no time. I went from newbie to flat tracker in about 5 hours one day.

I live in Massillon, ride all year, on and off-road. Can ride evenings except Wednesdays and weekends as long as I don't have a race planned. There are a couple guys from the Akron area that ride, how much dirt they see is unknown to me. I've ridden more with the southern sector.

Look around the Central threads for the gravel road enduro. I plan to ride to it, do it and ride home. That should help callous your ass!

Thanks Whitey. I am looking forward to some pain free riding some day. Tomorrow's test should tell the doc if things are repairable or I need to buck up and quit whining like a little girl.

Have you seen RallyCarJon at all lately? I haven't seen him post much of anything lately. I believe he is in the Can/Akron area?

And now for something completely different...

I am finally ready to put a car lift in the garage. Anybody here have any experience with them? I'm hoping I'll be able to use the lift arms to make a bike lift as well. Might take a little work making an adapter plate, but should be doable. My limiting factors are 117" ceiling and MAYBE no 3 phase 220v.

Don't know the price or rarity, but my brother in law had an air-driven scissor lift that was slick...would make a good platform for a bike too, better than a 2-post and it required only a compressor (115v would work there). Might look into that, I don't believe it was a super high priced affair, knowing him but it worked well.
