Last I saw of John was at Crow Canyon for Demo days in '08, haven't heard or seen him since.

Maybe I need to give him a poke

And now for something completely different...

I am finally ready to put a car lift in the garage. Anybody here have any experience with them? I'm hoping I'll be able to use the lift arms to make a bike lift as well. Might take a little work making an adapter plate, but should be doable. My limiting factors are 117" ceiling and MAYBE no 3 phase 220v.

Don't know the price or rarity, but my brother in law had an air-driven scissor lift that was slick...would make a good platform for a bike too, better than a 2-post and it required only a compressor (115v would work there). Might look into that, I don't believe it was a super high priced affair, knowing him but it worked well.

Some of it depends on what you want to achieve with the lift. I dont care for scissor lifts or drive on lifts since it leaves little room to swap trannys, etc. I am a fan of the 4 arm lift as it gives you the most undercar access. The trade off is it makes working around the outside of the car tougher due to the arms. I know prices have gotten more reasonable is the last few years.

I always lurk ! I am good just busy. I sold the KLR yesterday so I am down to 2 bikes for the moment but that number will go back up very shortly, possibly tomorrow even.

Runmikeyrun - hit me up I really prefer dirt but do plenty of road too.

Do you still have the DRZ? Any hints as to what you may replace the KLR with?
