For some odd reason my 250 has almost 40 hours on the meter and the valves as of last month were still in spec from the factory.

Maybe I don't ride them hard enough?
My 620 would push them out pretty fierce, and chew up chains & sprockets, and eat rear tires, clog that weird little 2nd oil filter, and vibrate everything on the bike loose. They've probably made a lot of improvements to the line, but just not the style of bike I'm into.

I hear he lost his right foot.

I'm losing energy for the evening and will be crashing now and havent finished the last four or five pages. nonetheless i want to thank everyone for the kind words, thoughts, visits, and prayers. i will recover and will return to work. i plan to get my police teaching certification and teach about the warriors mindset. i love all you as brothers and your kindness has been simultaneously humbling and uplifting. Cheers, and i'll be back around to check in but facebook consumes most of my laptop time right now.

Glad you are back in the ADV web world Brandon! From one rider just making it back into the saddle to another who has a road "trail" ahead of him to also get there, all I can say is I feel your pain, but the light at the end of this tunnel is NOT an oncoming train. I hope that at least the fact you'll be facing the worst of the recovery during the "off-season" of "common" motorcycling will lessen the angst you feel. But keep posting to let us know how you are doing and how we can help.

Great to hear from you! Heal fast!

Been through a rehabilitation for some serious injuries, know it's tough, but it sounds like you've got the right spirit, plenty of support and a family that loves you....all a growing boy needs! Keep in touch and let us know if you need anything....even if it's dirty jokes. I got plenty of those.

I wants me a Yamahopper with a big rally fairing! It will be mine, oh yes it will. Blue, and sexy, and with big sturdy valves that never go out of spec. Just need to trip over a big duffel full of cash somewhere.
Can a rally Yamaha be purchased in the states ready to go or do you have to build it?

Thats great news about him losing a foot, he won't be able to outrun the prison rapist in the shower with that stump. Glad to hear your progressing, you are kinda like a rock star now.

Swingy, have you read this thread?

Seems it wouldn't be terribly difficult to build a WR450Rally

You sure about that? I say I have something that can clamp to the kitchen table and ask how wide the jaws need to open and you just let it slide - I think you're losing your touch!

Sparkster - good to see you are on the mend - hope you aren't having to hit the morphine button too often. rest up, heal quick and start PT as soon they will let you.
