Rules are simple.

An item will be photographed with motorcycle in a location and if needed another photo will be taken of the geocatched item in it's hiding spot. The photo will be posted up in the new thread with GSP coordinates. Coordinates can either be from a GPS device at the location or from an online source like mapquest, google maps or google earth.
A new rider will ride to the location retrieve the item and take a photo of his motorcycle with the item. At this point the new rider can either keep the geocatched item or replace it with a new item to be taken to a new spot and photographed with the bike. These photos and the new GPS location will all be posted and the cycle starts again.
1. Location must be inside Ohio and on an established and legal right of way. It does not have to be a road but it does need to be a location that can be reached any time of day or time of year. (ie putting the tag in Perry SF during the closed season or on a gated road/trail is a no no.)
2. Item must be clearly marked or identifiable so that a duplicate item can not be produced. A signature or mark can be used for this.
3. A tag is only valid if it is a new photo in the geocatched spot that shows the riders bike and item.
4. A + of 50 feet is allowed for the GPS coordinate because of trees or southern line of site resulting in error. So make the photo of the hiding spot for the item very clear.
5. The person placing the tag item is responsible to ensure the item is hidden well enough it's not stolen or blown away in a tornado and not so well hidden that no one can find it.
6. If necessary the person placing the tag may use roll chart style instructions in addition to GPS coordinates to aid in establishing the location.
7. In the event of an unforseen issue a final rulling from the current moderator of the central forum will be final.

Any comments or ideas that need to be in the rules?
First of all, don't name it a trail game if your first rule says it cant be off road. Unless by right of way you mean national forests, etc. I think this game goes more in the spirit of ADVrider (as I understand it) and should include any rideable open trails. GPS coords plus clues should get the hunter within a few feet of the cache.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your wording though(I tend to think of the ohio revised code's definition of a right of way). And take my two pence with a grain of salt since I won't even be buying another trail bike next time.

As for momma's tupperwear- I think a camping box from walmart will survive the long term much betterer.

By legal right of way I mean a place that can be accessed by anyone, so unless you own the land and can confirm "right of way" no private property trails or renegade trails. I don't wanna hear about people running from pissed off land owners with guns. The current tag game has a similar rule about public access.

Every time I get a cache, I'm moving it to a road right by someone's meth operation...just for the drama.

Come to think of it, that's just anywhere near Zanesville.

I figured you'd put it at the end of a gun range and then wait for targets to arrive.

I thought I was the jolly green giant? No points for shooting him.

I think anywhere in Summit county would work also.

I like Zanesville

They have a nice airport. Actually, there's a couple. On one the runway is about the width of a sidewalk.

The drug-spotting planes need a place to refuel.
