Those jeans appear to be under a tremendous strain, from a strictly engineering perspective of course.

I can't believe he dumped out that beer and replaced it with a non-potable form of alcohol.

There are many forms of the tin can stove/burner. That one looked like a pretty long burner though.

I've built a couple aluminum/alcohol stoves. Fun project and somewhat useful, but alcohol stoves suck in the wind so they're rather limited.

While I'm not an advocate of alcohol abuse in that form, at least it was not good beer.

A piece of flashing rolled out around makes a great wind break. My buddy Jeff uses "heet" fuel line antifreeze with food color in his. You can also make a small pot from a one of those little keg cans. It should store neatly in a KLR milk crate top case.

I made one of these stoves this weekend. I used two Venom bottles and some fiberglass for the wick. Works great.

Been a hectic few weeks. Couldn't make it to the mexican lunch gathering in Zanesville on NYE due to time constraints, however got a short dirt/gravel ride in on New Years Eve with inmate/lurker half_price_beemer.

He's from Delaware area but is bummin' around Southeast Ohio for a few years. We did a quick gravel/dirt/backroads ride and then had lunch in Athens.

He lurks here occasionally. Hey Matt
