I'd guesstimate that 50% or so of the graves here were for children. I can't imagine how they dealt with that...you say you want 3 kids? Better have 6, coz 3 of em won't survive past the age of 5....
What's really sad is that the US is still has one of the highest infant mortality rates of developed nations.

And on that somber note, good write up.

I hope you aren't expecting Flint Ridge to be as easy as Luke's ride...? It's mostly trails, with some road connectors. If it's wet it will be tough. You are making a solid decision not to ride there, not so much from the legality standpoint, but if you wad 'er up in the woods, it's a long and painful ride home...

Cool. In case I miss it, I'll be driving this, except I'll be pulling a different trailer.

See you there, unless it's going to be a mudfest.

Every country that's leading those statistics, like us, has a large welfare class where the poor languish in terms of health, fitness, nutrition and mortality rates compared to the rest of their societies.

The welfare state is the problem...you can see it across the entire socio-economic breakdown, crime, violence, murder rates, abortions, health issues, mental health, addiction, you name it. Factor those same folks out of the US on almost any metric and we start looking like one the healthiest, peaceful, most productive countries on earth.

What does Japan and Switzerland have that we don't? A draining, unending pool of people who subsist on handouts.

What to do about is a political discussion, but it's without doubt where we've failed.

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly.

I have more to say but it's not for a motorcycle forum and / or public discussion.

You might have the right vehicle if it keeps raining.

Good write up Sion. Makes me feel good you had a good time. I'm never sure what level / type of rider is showing up so I sometimes under play the easy stuff and over sell the tough stuff. Becky (aka Pigtails) took some good riding shots so I'll post a few here.

Getting a dead bike running or man do I look big on the Vstrom.

Tar Hollow State Park gravel corner.

Another view from Olive Cemetery showing Sion crawling off the KTM.

Another gravel road.

I will start working on a Tar Hollow off road ride after FR. On that ride the rutted out logging road will be the easiest trail.

Oh that's NASTY . I hope it is a little cooler as I don't think the new gear I ordered will be here in time, so for protection I will have to strip out all the layers and wear my jacket.

Just remember not to lube your rear or you'll hit the gas and the ground almost at the same time.

I actually won't be attending. I am a huge poser on here. I sometimes have to open my garage to make sure I still even own a motorcycle. I do however enjoy bullshitting with my e-friends and living vicariously through them. I think that is why I watch porn also.

Why don't you come to breakfast, that would be a decent morning ride.
