Is that an Equinox? I can't make out the badge on the grille.

Sure is. Canadian built American Chevy from a former Suzuki plant.

Nice rides tho, my neighbor has the previous gen. (which is an XL7, rebadged). The new ones are wholly a GM product but have some Suzuki lineage in the Theta bodies.

My sister in law just bought a used one... 2009, maybe? It's nice enough. You sure about the rebadged Suzuki thing? They look significantly different, even the wheelbase looks different to me.

Congrats.

Nice to see someone showing off something new that isn't making me want to go buy a Tenere.

Up till 2009 the XL7, Saturn Vue, Pontiac Torrent and whatever the fuck GMC called thiers were all built on the same chassis, basic same drivetrain and bodies with some minor differences. In 2010 Chevy took over the plant and re-did the Theta bodies and drivetrains...but underneath they're supposedly still very similar to the older XL7/Equinox.

This according to the Suzuki forum, so if I'm wrong it's their fault.

Don't care where/how/who. As mentioned this is a 2010...looks a bunch better than the 2009's and earlier. Splurged for some features that weren't necessary but appear to be making the wife happy. And after playing with the bluetooth/infotainment center for a hour, I'm pretty jazzed as well.

It came with a Class III hitch from the PO ... since I only have the 4Cyl, I won't be pulling a heavy load (no more than 1500#), but I can try a hitch hauler if i ever work up the nerve. My reasoning is that since the V6 has a 350# tongue weight, the body structure between the I4 and V6 would be the same.

Found some interesting places to ride today. Luckily Ohio_PT's camera wasn't working because if it had been, I'd fallen.

This road had zero attempts at being traversed in what looked like years except by maybe a pedestrian or two...

about 1.5 miles the road looked like this...

When I got to the top, I found myself in a wooded area on a farm lane with fresh cow dung then it emptied into some farmers front yard. The look on their faces when that 950 came out of the woods was pretty humorous. At 1st I thought they were going to get upset but I made the comment "I guess the township doesn't maintain that road anymore, that was a hell of a ride!" They laughed so I rolled on out.

I can tell you one thing, I'd probably never ride that road again on the 950. AT one point I thought I'd be stuck up there for some time trying to unstuck the pig.

redridersteve and I are meeting at 8:00 am Monday at the R & M (S & M, maybe F & M, I can't recall for sure) diner on the south side of Mt. Vernon for a gravel ride, if anyone wants to come.

Couple of hours... he's on a KLR, I'm on a WR. No trails, only gravel roads.

Heard a weird buzzing vibration noise yesterday between 5000 and 5500 rpm, reminded me of when a bolt backed out of my crash bars, checked them and found this, it's broken, looks like I can probably get it welded. No doubt another trophy of my first "easy ride" with swingset down the Stone Quarry.

Looks like a bad weld. Usually the welds end up being the last part to break.

This shows it better, the triangular piece of metal that the bar bolts onto is broken right in half.

Covered Bridge Road in Harrison County, this is on the Buckeye Trail on a road section, road splits to go either side of a tree.

How did you get the right side in focus and the left side out of focus?
