Moving to Dayton

Hello!

I'm moving to Dayton in a few weeks. I've seen all the state park ORV areas, but I was wondering if there are any trails, gravel pits, fire roads, etc...in the Dayton areas? I tried searching this thread, but didn't come up with anything. I'm coming from Germany, and since there is virtually no legal places to ride off road here, it won't take much for me to be happy.

Welcome and sweet avatar, but I'm not sure your WR250R can take advantage of the offer.

I've been taking it out on the autobahn everyday for the past couple of months, since it's the quickest route to several of the military bases from my house. Nothing like riding a 250 dirtbike at 80mph on the highway and being passed by a Porsche doing 150+. I'd like to see him come out on the dirt with me though

I only have it because I currently live in Germany. It's the German sign for no speed limit. It's actually used throughout all Europe, but in Germany on the Autobahn, it means you can go as fast as you like as long as you're safe

Don't worry, BDMike rides his WR from Beaver Creek, and Crazy J has ridden his klx 250 from Xenia to Maine with blown fork seals and bald tires. Just hop on 35 East hit rt50 from there and you'll find great riding just past Chillicothe.

Technically, it means "end of restrictions." I had one hanging in my barracks room when I lived in Landstuhl.

BTW, welcome back. Heading to WPAFB?

I might be there. My WR250R should be plated by the end of the week and I have a Yamalink in the mail. I may need help installing it, lowering the rear, setting sag, etc.

(Always wanted to do that.)
130+ miles of dirt, mud, rocks, creeks, mud holes, gravel and dual sport fun. Sign up for the next intermediate TTH ride. --> http://klrworld.com/forums/index.php/topic,20395.0.html
Looking for 10 to 15 riders.

And before Sion asks, "Bikes MuST be street legal". Best to have some good knobies, and you'll probably drop it once or twice so leave trailer queen bikes at home.

Ya, I knew someone would correct me on that, but it was easier for me to explain it my way.

We're currently at LRMC but heading to WPAFB.

I remembered it after I posted. I spent a brief TDY at Spangdahlem and had a ball on the autobahn. Been fifteen or so years though.

I was at Landstuhl from 1985-87. Do you know if there's still a place called Shaeferstube downtown? I drank many Parkbraus down there.

My barracks was here:

And I worked at the SatCom site here:

Bike = S.N.A.F.U. it's going to be done in a couple weeks i'm told. Just in time for winter hopefully i can sneak in a tag or possibly a all day ride before the flakes drop. Other than that
