I can see I'm talking to a "nothing exceeds like cubic inches" crowd here. The Miata is the flickable 600cc versus the Hayabusa.

The two of you should go test ride a Can-Am Spyder RT. It even comes in Tenere blue.

It's not a HP thing, so much.

I'm sure they're awesome little scoots, in fact I know they are, but after watching the Miata owners club congregation in Granville summer after summer, I realize that stereotypes are unfortunately true. Painfully true. The numbers of man/man couples wearing straw hats was appallingly high.

I would gladly drive one, in the dark, wearing a mask. Maybe.

I can't drive a Subaru Forrester either, if someone saw me they'd think I was a registered Democrat and an Apple owner. I can't have that.

I also can't drive an F150 with a 12" body lift and a rebel flag in the window. I don't like Toby Keith songs.

See, I'm shallow and stuff....I need my vehicles to say something, preferably not something bad like "He likes Jimmy Buffet and Cher movies".

I just wish your vehicles weren't so attractive to deer.

Yeah, then there's that....me hitting a deer in a Miata? That would suck.

I'm laying there in the ditch bleeding out, and the last thing I'd see is the parade of onlookers going "Oh look at that, that poor gay guy got killed by a deer". Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I was way more concerned about not killing the deer and flipping it into the cockpit where the SOB would beat me to death with the hooves.

If the mood ever crosses your mind, you are always welcome to take a back road cruise on the klr. Bikes may have introduced us, but isn't the only thing was important between us. One of these nights I will have to let you win some of my money at the card table.

That's what I want. Inasmuch as looks go anyway. I might sit on and hate it though. Unfortunately they're $15,000 used. We might do it in a few years.

You're safe, even Deer don't want to go out like that.

Spent the last two days terrorizing cows, obsessively crossing bridges, investigating closed RR tunnels with rare bats and $100,000 gates, walking through 3,100 foot long tunnels with canals in them, and riding on horrible dead end roads that aren't on Google maps. My main job was to slow Mark down and leave my blinker light on for miles and miles. I also performed numerous brake checks just to test Meefazs reflects and to keep him focused.

I'm too tired to post pics or a ride report, but here is a preview; Meefzah looking really scary at the closed bat tunnel on the Westerm Maryland RR.

I would gave said something, but I was trying to be respectful of your group & I know how am when it comes to motorcycle conversation. She would have felt very left out. I'm sure I'll hook up with some of you OHADV guys at some point.
I'm a little confused about why anyone would want to be respectful of our group

I will try to post the lunch rides here when they start up again next season. They are pavement rides, so I know that doesn't appeal to everyone on here but at least there's food involved.

Some of us work at OSU so we get Veteran's Day off. Weather permitting, we have a lunch ride that day. I'll let people know when it gets closer and I find out where we're going.
