Kinda made me think of Neo (from the Matrix), except his cheeks were doing that wavey thing in the wind as he rode.
You must have spent way to long staring at him from behind to notice his cheeks waving.

His -other- cheeks. The ones between his neck and eyebrows. :-P

(gotta get some higher speed tires for my trailer. 55mph sucks.)

I'm not really feeling like riding to Tar Hollow; it's a significant distance for me.

I'll probably shoot down into Wheeling and grab lunch and do some WV back roads.

The Sunday ADV ride was a good time. We hit a rough patch and while I don't think I ramped up my skill set much I certainly ratcheted up my "attempted degree of difficulty" a few more clicks. I didn't make every try (thanks again for all the help, Mark) but I tried. Tried until I was tired. Turned out we were only halfway through the "road". The guys helped me a bunch more times and got me through. I think it took us an hour to go literally 2 miles but it was a good time. Or, better stated a learning experience.

Some pics. I was flying solo heading south and a bigger ADV bike flew past me.

It's the ohioroadrat!

Laurelville gas stop. I guess this is what you do after the truck gets rolled a couple times.

The crew assembled at Pine Lake

Tar Hollow state park

We were in exploring mode, doing the "lets see where this one goes" thing. Sign said "Private Drive" so we turned around.

This road dead-ended at a house. buildit is looking ahead and down at his GPS and ahead and down.

Discussion ensued. The final word was "it's a township road, lets go".

So we're off.

Luke went ahead to scout the path

Mark ran the tougher parts two or three times to make sure the rest of us could get through.

Sign of the day. We ignored it and moved on.

Luke ignored this one too. Heh.

Tree down. Too high to get over and too low to easily get the bikes under.

It ain't gonna break

So Luke whips out the solution to this particular problem

A little cutting and we're on the way again

Township Road 20

More fun. Thanks again to Luke and Mark for all their help. The coaching (and pushing and pulling) got us through.

Mark makin' it look easy

The best road in Tar Hollow

First sign of spring

Good times. Sorry I had to bug out early but I had to get to my niece's 8th birthday party. She got a new bicycle, which was pretty cool.

Later,
M

Sure looked like a street-tire-friendly Tar Hollow ride...

No photos, but I put on about 150 miles yesterday in the beautiful northwest corner of the state. Saw a tree or two, and about 3,000,000 muddy empty fields. Thought I found a hill at one point but turns out it was just an overpass. Wishful thinking I guess.

Anyone have any experience dealing with this place? I am looking to purchase a Ducati M/S PP soon. Or can recommend a duck dealer/contact. Thanks, B
