I completely underestimated how long it would take me to get there Sun morning. When I got to the parking lot you all were long gone. I rode around on my own hoping to run into you but never did. Seems like a neat place, not as muddy as I thought it might be.

I was a little confused on how the trails worked though. Are they all fair game unless marked 'no motorized vehicles'? Also, many were gated off but it was obvious people had been going around the gates on vehicles and horses.

Does it make me a redneck if I think this is awesome and want it immediately? If I owned it, I could dress like Darth Vader and roam the backroads of southern Ohio searching for the mythical dune buggy-driving Vader imposter. Once found, I would drive over his 1970's fiberglass rig and smash it monster-truck style. -Mike

TH is just one option...we dont have to go there...I've been wanting to hit some of the roads up your way: Bats Nest, Stone Quarry and the like

Didn't see this one on your map, it's right around the corner from me.

I do find the full skull looking ones to be completely dumb looking, but I also am not hard assed enough to ride a bike with chrome buckles on it...
This is the sort of thing he was wearing

I don't see the point really, if you (not you, Matt) are trying to stay warm you are going to lose more heat through your bare head than through your face.

This one seems more appropriate...

Talking

No thrilling tales of dual sport riding yesterday...and no pictures either...but after finishing a lot of outside type work, took one of my vintage bikes out for a good thrash (and pick up some supplies for dinner). I really missed riding my BSA Forgotten how much I enjoy the sound of a parallel twin on song

Then after dinner....a nice woods ride on the trials bike. It was a good day

Yeah, but helmets are for pussies....how can you look like a super hardass when your pony tail is covered up by a helmet? Much scarier to make people think you are hauling ass to conquer Castle Greyskull....

I have never tried mine without a lid, mostly because I don't ride without a lid, so I can't really comment on the effectiveness....I suppose that they are meant to be used in conjunction with a leather doorag to keep the top of the head warm...

Passed these guys on 50 yesterday and thought it was a pretty cool setup. Will have to keep this in mind for when I can't swing my leg over the bike in a couple of years.

For what it's worth, I'll vouch for the place as well.

I recorded 32GB of video yesterday on my adventure with caveman riders. I missed out recording some very good stuff too because I filled up the memory card or batteries died while riding and couldn't stop to change them because I didn't want to hold up the group.

I'll post the video once I have a chance to narrow it down to 10~15 min of highlights. It was an awesome day of riding!
