Hmmm, some of your RR ride looks very different from last time I was out there over the winter. That rough section with the standing water... and then the Lincoln Funeral Train part. Short of giving away your secrets, can you tell me how much pavement you take to link the two sections (the part out of Plain City and the part by the funeral sign)?

I have a feeling I'll enjoy the RR Bed much less now that I've experienced Tar Hallow, Danville, and Perry, but it's still only half an hour from my house, so an easy spot to run to for an afternoon.

Hans, Hans, what can I say. In some parts of Ohio, behavior like that is liable to get your sorry ass shot. And there are some deep hollows to hide the body in. And Craigslist to sell the bike

I suspect this is another reply to the first post of the thread from way back in the year of our Lord 2003. Strangely, I clicked to read his other posts and it turns out that I'm sure I met him at the end of one of Luke's Plain City RR bed rides about two and a half years ago. In a previous post he mentions owning 2 chinese Q link bikes for he and his son. While ending up at McDonalds in Plain City a couple years ago, a guy was unloading those bikes hoping to ride the RR tracks. Got to be the same guy, who else owns TWO Q-links. Annecdotal detective work finished. -Mike

Further detective work reveals Hans_Krugger 'in the flesh':

Probably not his first beer, but definitely replying to the post from 47,000 posts ago.

Welcome to the unofficial official Ohio thread. If you decide to stick around, you'll find lots of good people, tons of random talk you haven't a clue what there talking about... and often 1 or 2 group rides (anywhere from 2 to 12 bikes normally) per week. We generally stay out of farmer Brown's fields.

Yeah and that's just at the MALL!

As for the extended RR bed, the gravel removal has moved west and the wet part was an unexpected surprise.

Not to totally dogpile on the guy whose ass Bruce Willis threw out a window of the 45th floor of Nakatomi Plaza, but he apparently has a recurring problem with posting new replies in old ass threads, without realizing there are 600 pages between he and the first page.

From the WR thread, which is nearly as long as the ADV OH thread. The first post is a writeup of the bike, which is what he is replying to... from 2008.

This write up was thoughtfully done and very helpful.
