It may not be true, but there are rummers of people profiting from people who use their music. They are notified about the use and have to allow it. Then there are the virus like programs which jack up views on sites like you tube making the owner of the adds $$$. Like I said it is just rummer but ......

It's not the same person watching it either... ;)

You do realize that not this many people "watched"your video, don't you?

AFAIK,"Monetizable", means that if your video turned up as result or link in some search, somewhere, it counts as a view.

Yes, it is because of the song. I only heard about the rummer of this going on in the you tube chat rooms while I was complaining about Utube copy right dispute over my videos because their auto detection system showed I had not made my own music. (This has since been resolved) It was suggested that until it was resolved I should lock up the video so that the group attempting to claim ownership could not profit from it. Oddly Utube would allow them to immediately monitize my video during the dispute period.
Since you are using someone elses music, they can monitize your video, you get zero. They also can use robo-programs to artificially bump up the views which makes them more money. It may only be $.05 for your video but the company who controls the rights does the same thing to many video using music they have the rights to and now your talking hundreds of dollars.
I am not sure what the effect is to you, they may remove the adds or delete your video if it continues, I don't know. Since your not profiting from it I suspect they would only freeze the Google account linked to the adds.
I tried to find the posts but all that is coming up now is videos about click bombing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9v-P...eature=related

So if youtube does x with my vid, blah, blah, blahblahblah....

O wait motorcycles, that's why we're here!

Anyone want to take demo rides on factory provided Husqvarnas? Husqy is bringing a truck load of bikes to the Hanging Rock, and we will have a 1 mile loop set up to ride.

Out of Danville, but instead of doing the gravel loop we did a bunch of offroad near there. We found an new "abandoned" road which was essentially a quad track and runs right along the river.

I left my Go Pro at Best Buy so there's no video of the ride, although rummer has is I might get one for my birthday.

Look guys, I guess it falls on me to tell you this, since I'm the thread dick.

To quote Captain Fucking Spaulding: "I calls 'em likes I sees 'em".

No one gives a shit about the videos.

You know the lack of responses gotten when you appealed for thoughts, opinons, etc.? Yeah, that lack of responses is called "a clue". As in, get one.

I think the majority of people don't care about the videos getting posted; but the constant need for affirmation ("love me!") and back and forth about royalties is goddamn annoying. To the point where I am ready to put you both on my ignore list so I don't have to keep reading it.

We get it, you like riding and making videos. You're the fucking Coppolas of the forum. Put a link in your signature and people who want to watch them will.

Got it, I just have to much fun playing captain fucking annoying and feeding the issue. Although I will say the actual "Motorcycle Only talk/chat" has been anorectic recently.
So with that said, Lisa posted a blurb about a KTM 1290 in testing.
link--> http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http...Uv1210gQ96MFng
Quote:
The KTM Adventure 1290 was identified in a leaked KTM North America Powerpoint slide as an upcoming 2014 model. That slide also listed an Adventure R 1090 which will likely be a more off-road worthy version which would replace the 990, and a Super Duke R 1290 which will likely use the same engine as this prototype. The Adventure 1290 would give KTM a big-twin competitor in the adventure-touring segment against models such as the BMW R1200GS, Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 and Yamaha Super Ténéré.
