As of closing time last night they had one rear track master and one rear Kenda 50/50 tire left in my size. They also have dual sport helmets on close out if you missed that, since we went through half a dozen pages since i posted last night.

The problem was it wasn't supposed to be a race...just a dual sport ride. There weren't very many dual sports there though. 99% dirt bikes with tags.
You didn't know? Ever since the organized dual sport events got started - it's 'race on!' from the moment you drop off the pavement. At least for all of the former enduro riders and hare scramblers. It's kinda in the blood I guess. Ride fast enough to keep the 'amusement ride out of control' feeling and just keep turning it up. Where else can you scare the shit out of yourself so easily? And for such a long time.

It's a way of re-living our (my) youth - back when I was 35 or 40. . . It's all about challenge blended in with some adrenaline - and still make it into work Monday a.m.

What riding area do you have in mind?

I wouldn't ride Perry if someone bought my gas and lunch.

I got 2 rides in at Perry on the same day - FIRST & LAST!

I'm sorry - did Perry - once - February but good weather - the parking lot seemed to be some kinda of giant gravel skid-pad. The 4 wheelers managed to pit race every time the moment the ranger left - literally spraying the PU trucks with gravel. I"m sure the only reason I didn't get sprayed was because I was standing there. (probably got it as soon as I left). Donuts upon donuts. And the rest was crap - water, sh*t holes, walls, mine tailings, repeat, ad infinitum. I don't consider off-roading in 1st gear fun. Give me 4-5-6 mph!

So, tell me what you're thinking. BR - - - PMd BigOhio

I was leaning towards Perry just because I've never been there but if you guys come up with something that's relatively close to home and off-road that's fine with me too. ;)

There you guys go. Corey is on Perry like white on rice. He'll take you places that the ranger doesn't even know exist yet.

Probably because no one has ever returned from them.

Sounds like Indypup and motodirtlover and myself may be up for a little tour of Perry on Saturday. Anyone else thinking about it?

Nothing wrong with either but you'll never go faster riding in the trees if you do most of your riding on 2 track roads.

I'm hoping to spend some time in July getting my speed back for a couple races coming up, lately all I've been doing is peeling bark with body parts instead of bark busters.
I fall in the latter category as Gordon has seen. I rode ZTR with Swing and he last year. DRZ was puking and TTR aint street legal so I took the XT. Indypup - like you i thought it was a Dual Sport Ride My mistake. Its an orange Circus.I thought someone said it was the same route they used for a District Enduro?

Good news is most of the guys that passed me did so without problem - and very few laughed...much.

When I was there last (a Thursday) we were completely alone out there as well and it was great. I can see how it'd be a pain with quads blasting everywhere... but isn't that about anywhere?

I hear most of the quad riders have taken up bicycle riding.
