I think the CRF250L will sell well, mostly because of the price point. That is what $2000 cheaper than the WR250R.
It seems like it is much more capable than the CRF230L and cheaper too.

Obviously it was not targeted to compete with the KTMs or even the WRR. But it does look to be a good entry level bike with some off-road capability. Im interested in it as a commuter and occasional trail ride. As a new bike it is more economical and/or more capable than the others in this segment.

She's right, even lowered, that's a lot of bike for someone small.

Your 150 needs a few small things and you'll be set, I'll email you some details

It's a lot of bike for me, and I'm not small. My DRZ wasn't quite 320 and it was too heavy for me to enjoy offroad. Of course, it carried it poorly (high and up front), but on a 250 that much weight is just absurd.

If it were in the 275 range, I'd have nothing bad to say...especially at the price point (which is obviously very good).

Don't miss the beer for the boobs. Boobs with beer are better and not as bitter.

Dang, that sucks. I'm sure the repair can be done cheaper than $3k, especially on a single.

Damn, sorry to hear that. I agree with swing that it should be able to be done alot cheaper then that. I would buy the manual and needed tools and take it apart at home. It is a good learning experience and worse case scenario it will be $3000 to put it back together.

How fast do you need it done. I know a certified BMW mechanic that does stuff on the side, but he's kind of busy.

Wow! Let's see some night picks shining down a dark road.

It may be 1st & 5th use the same fork. The forks slide the gears on the drive shafts to engage each other from the sides (drive teeth never separate). Ask the dealer how much if you bring him the motor alone, May save a bundle.

Look me up after July 9th weekend, I could use the challenge and the money. I've had 4 motors down to
the last bolt and back together, cheaper to do it yourself.

Holy shit. Good thing the WR has a massive surplus of electricity available. I'm not going to like that fucking thing right behind me in the dark though...

Re: Night Ride

If it is raining at 9:00 pm Saturday and after, this will be a no go. Temps should be cool, and in the dark with rain, it'll be miserable. Additionally, I think wet visors / goggles will compromise the already limited visibility.

So, assuming it isn't raining, this should be fun.

I am trailering up, not really feeling like doing 130 miles r/t in the dark, and I will be hustling to get there since I took off work at 8pm. Parking for trailers is at the south end of town on US62, in the IGA parking lot.

I will be at the Danville BP Saturday night by 10:30 pm, and kickstands are up and we are motoring at 11:00 pm.

I believe Alan, Adam, Zach, David, Mike, Gorman ?, Tim ? are "in"...
