Re: Night Ride

If it is raining at 9:00 pm Saturday and after, this will be a no go. Temps should be cool, and in the dark with rain, it'll be miserable. Additionally, I think wet visors / goggles will compromise the already limited visibility.

Assuming it isn't raining, this should be fun.

I will be at the Danville BP Saturday night by 10:30 pm, and kickstands are up and we are motoring at 11:00 pm.

I believe Alan, Adam, Zach, David, Mike, Gorman ?, Tim ? are "in"...
I am In for sure. As far as the lighting for me is to get my butt safely there and back. Once in a group I will just follow taillights.

It has a on off switch just for you and on coming cars. I took a test ride last night and it seems to work good. Going to hide a extra battery some place in knox co. just in case.

What kind of light is that? Halogen? What's the wattage?

What's the black tape on your OEM light?

One person is dead, another nine hurt after a crash involving a car and a dozen motorcycles in the Town of Taycheedah.

The car apparently hit 10 of the 12 motorcycles in the group

http://fox6now.com/2012/05/31/car-mo...du-lac-county/

This is one of the reasons I dislike riding in a big group..

800,000 candle power. Yes halogen. Wattage?

The black tape is velco for my lexan headlight cover.

I don't mind a big group, as long as everyone spaces out like they have a brain. The clusterfuck formation rides are rightly targets for old blind people with big Buicks, much like trailer parks all but ask tornadoes to come and hit them like a bowling ball.

I hope that big ass light is detachable so you can shine it down into whatever valley/river/mineshaft I crash my ass into.

I am still a definite maybe. If I make it I make it, if not..oh well... I need to get my tire on, my oil changed, and my chain replaced...If I'm not there on my bike, I'll be home so if someone gets assed up, call me and I'll have my truck/trailer at the ready to play rescue ranger.

I did this last year on my 950, Ohio-Pt on a V-strom, both with knobs. Mark is a pretty good rider but if you take your time in the rough stuff you should be ok. FooFoo bikes will be just fine.

The route was 80% gravel connected with asphalt with 3 sections of trail

Sadly, we never saw any results afterwards or on their site.

Wish I could go, sounds like fun but my only kid (that I know of anyway) graduates from H.S. this weekend. The good point is that I should pretty much have the rest of the summer to myself after this. Also, what fun is a ride if you can't bitch about it later? Isn't that part of the fun?

Has Sion seen the light?

If I didn't know better, I would think that Sion has seen the light and given up on Dora the explorer!

first off, you know my bike is alot newer than that (10 years, to be exact)...and secondly, I would never say trade only...thats just dumb...if someone is offering a fair cash price, you take it.

I don't think they have a full time service manager yet. Let us know how it goes.
