No damage to the house, but I did lose a few trees back in the woods. I was really worried the big ash next to my house that the borers have almost killed would come down or that my enclosed trailer would take flight.
I have a houseguest that got here 3 hours after the storm. Her vacation is not starting well. Still no electricity at my place Sun morning at 9am, but mom got hers back last night so we are down in Columbus at her house. Started off Sat at the farmers market on the square in Mt. Vernon. Funny the Amish seemed much less concerned about the electric being out than the rest of the people who were in town (many of whom were on the verge of losing their minds) Had lunch at a cool place in Mansfield called Uncle Joes, then spent 3 hours looking around the Mansfield State Reformatory....that place is really super cool. Then finished the day over in Lima at the flat track.

No damage to us or house, mrs. dox had a close call as a tree fell down in front of her as she was driving. We retreated into the store we'd just been shopping at until the worst of the storm passed.
Still no power here, it's coming back on in small pockets but largely most people are still out. Got a small generator taking care of some essentials, but not enough to run AC. Webbernets are still down, cell service is also pretty wonky. Gas station lines were 2-3 hours long at the few places that were open. I went out to a remote little country store and they were pumping on generator power, only a 20 minute wait. Last night was somewhat brutal due to the heat.

Im still without power, but good man Steve (BigOhio) let me borrow his generator so at least I can keep my food and beer cold. Hooked up the computer and router but the internet is out so that was a wasted effort. I'm at a friends borrowing their wi-fi for checking emails and here.
Steve, FYI you can get at least 12 hours of runtime on the gennie if the tank is full...got up this morning and it was pretty low but hadn't run out.

Yeah, then I shut the car off. A/C stopped. Phone no longer charged. Then I went inside the no power house.
Sigh.

Good to know, never ran it for more than 4 hours or so just long enough to heat the house/cool the fredge/freezer and flush the toilets. Took the 450 out a litle today and saw alot of people sitting on their porch. Looks to be awhile before those south of here get taken care of. Still lots of trees and debris around on the roads.

For the first time in the 14 years I've lived in my home, the power is out for more than a few hours.
Lost everything in the fridge and freezer. It's hotter than hell. We are at my brothers house doing some laundry and enjoying some A/C which is especially since the missus' allergies are officially going completely nuts. I feel bad for her. This officially sucks moldy ass cheese, but at least we can get beer and ice at Giant Eagle. Stay cool, those of you in the same boat as us.

Steveb126 and I spent a few hours today riding around in Knox and Coshocton countys looking at the storm damage. Looks like Apple Valley got hit the hardest from what we saw.

From the weather, looks like it's bearing down on Lancaster as we speak. Can hear the thunder in the distance, can't wait...
