Same here. We were making pasta and pigs in a blanket out on the Coleman stove when it came through. Few rain drops and a nice wind that pushed all the heat out of the house.

Interesting. This was the first time I've ever gotten the automated text weather warnings. Flash flood warnings as well. It never rained here.

I thought it was you guys getting nailed hard. If you go out an pee in your river, it goes by my house in a day or so.

You had better rub mama's back and feet tonight. If we had lost power in heat like this while my wife was pregnant.....well I cant even describe the hell.

Yay!

Turned on the A/C and something wasn't quite right.... The blower motor is dead.

Damn.

Then the power went out again before this new storm rolled in.

Double-damn...
Blower motor indoors or the fan on the outdoor unit? If it started and went off again in a relative short period of time, you could have had a phase out still on the main. If it still doesn't work when everything comes back up,let me know I'll see if I can diagnose it for you.

She spent last night at her parents because it was so bad in here, I slept out on the deck for most of the night.

Well that was fun. Lost power as soon as the wind started up and just got it back. Had resigned myself to a sweaty night and hoping that it went back on sometime tonight. Thank you South Central Power Company.

Derecho

It is official. we had a derecho. Another reference here.

The last one I was in was famous... I was in WatertownNY for a wedding - a Falcon 90 jumped the chocks and rolled around the airport... and almost all the airplanes "flew" from their tiedowns.

Reminds me of a SNL bit with Chris Farley playing the part of "El Nino"...

Watch out for the southern wind, it really stinks.
