You going to post more details as far as a schedule for the two days?

I'm going to have a hell of a hard time getting that Saturday off (already have the next Saturday off), but I want to do this.

Not actively looking but I'm pretty interested in it, I'd prefer the Subie but the Scion is $1000 less.

What are they talking about? I blocked indypup after he posted another video a week or so ago so I have no clue. Did he come out of the closet finally?

Howdy all!

I'm hoping you can provide a bit of assistance. Candi and I are 2 months away from a "bucket list" trip, a two week Jeep trip to Moab UT. I'm hoping to properly use my Rubicon for once and have already handled what I think are the needed mods for the type of terrain I intend to traverse. Two other couples and their Jeeps are making the trip with us. Both are Wranglers and both will be appropriately modded for the trip, but do not have the lockers that the Rubicon has. For what we're doing I don't suspect it will matter. This isn't a trip intended to beat the Jeeps and their occupants to death, nor is it a trip intended to greatly expand the envelope of driver skill at the risk of life and vehicle. I've done a fair amount of 4 wheel off roading in my life and believe I know how to properly assess most situations so we won't get in over our heads. The intent is to enjoy the desert environment. The Jeeps are tools for the job, not something we want to destroy on youtube in a "hold my beer and watch this" moment.

Considering that criteria, we're looking for a local area where we can test some of the mods done to the jeeps and make sure everything is up to snuff. In particular, one of my friends has extensively modded his '98 Sahara with lift, 33's, gears, and a host of mechanical repairs and upgrades, and we really want to shake it down a bit before leaving on what will ultimately be a 5,000 mile trip. Finding 4wd trails in Ohio isn't always the easiest task. Sure, we could go to an area like wellsville, but again we're not looking for the biggest mud holes or steepest hills. And Wellsville isn't very close. I'm hoping to find something closer to central Ohio anyway. I know there are some good areas around Burr Oak, near Macarthur, and I believe the richland furnace area might be closed to 4wd vehicles at this point. I know some of you like Luke possess a relief grade trail map of certain areas in your heads . To the extent that you might share some info would be appreciated. We are looking to avoid trespassing issues and intend to tread lightly and not tear up the places we go, but we do want to find some moderately (not severely) challenging obstacles. And please don't post it here, send it to me in a PM so the rest of the 4wd world doesn't come trash place in the next two weeks.

Anything you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
