I have a suggestion.

You should go fuck yourself.

I get to run the NRCHA office under a guy the used to work for Red Bull and produced "Last Man Standing Enduro". We bonded over bikes, not horses.

I'll miss you guys!!!!!!!

MikeF, I'm not moving my "stuff" until October (living out of hotels until then) so if you want the TTR until then, it's yours. Get with me soon.

I'll be at the Reservation this week for a final peek of vacation since I won't be seeing one for awhile. We'll also be planning a huge ass party and you're all invited. Details TBA
Congrats, hope it works out for you.

Heidenau K60 Scouts. People seem to love them; decent on-road, decent off-road, and commonly 12,000+ miles per set. This'll be my first experience with them.

They look like heidenaus or Mefo explorers to me, if I had to guess.

Yeah, thought they were one of em. Just looked up the K60's. I decided on Metz saharas for the DR. Only a few bucks more with the coupon and tire sale earlier this year. They must've added a belt recently to the K60s down the middle, never remember them being closed like that from pictures.

Depends, if a sign like this one is posted nearby, then she'd have said no way

The center rib is only on the 150 width; since it's most commonly used on heavier adventure bikes, the rib is there to smooth out road touring and/or increase life.

Mike is correct, the narrower rear tires(I have a 130 width on my DR) do not have a center rib. I've heard those crazy high mileage reports on the K60's(12,000+), but my buddies(who have the 150 width, one on a GS 1200 Adventure and one on a KTM 990 Adventure) will probably both get less than half that. Presently, I have almost 4000 miles on mine, and while the rear is getting pretty squared off, there is still quite a lot of tread left. I will probably get between 5,000 and 6,000 miles from them, before they need replaced.

A couple of comments about the K60's. They are the stiffest tires I've ever mounted! They are a tubeless tire; not a problem to use tubes, however. They are notorious for losing air, especially the front(this has been my experience and at least one of my buddies), as well......so check your air pressure often, preferably before every ride. This is a good habit to acquire regardless of tire anyway.

I like the tires quite well. I've encountered no surprises on the road, both wet and dry. On gravel and dry dirt roads they are fine, as well. But, as can be expected, these tires don't do well in mud or sand. My buddy with the Adventure GS, on the other hand, will never buy them again......just doesn't like em.

Didn't post them here thinking someone would be interested I guess. But here you go:

They are tentatively very close to being sold, so speak up quickly if you want them... advriders will have priority.

I have the Mefos on my KLR. I can say +1 to the stiff mounting. I worry if I ever get a flat out and about that I might not be able to get the tire off and back on with the short tire irons I carry. I only have 2000 miles on them, but I can't really see any wear. I do find them a little more slippery on wet asphalt than I like.
