THE CATCH!

It will be on scooters or the equivelent. I guess it wouldn't have to be just scooters
I will be on my Chinese 150 daily rider
The reason for this is I really would like to meet many of you but due to my Xl600 being down and slowly rebuilt this is the best I can do for now.

So anyone want to me a local rider?
The date is to be decided, looking a sunday rain or shine.

Pete
Whats an Adventure without a challenge?
I'm thinking this Sunday meet at Lancaster Sales around 10:00-10:30am and heading out at 11:00am
Here is the current route

https://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sou...&z=12&dirflg=d
Sorry for the NOOB routing map, the destination marks which I ran out of are just for the intersections, Not sure if we could get to "L" but Sugargrove rd. would be the last leg back to Lancaster.
Not looking to road race just a nice Sunday pace.

Hope to see a few you guys on the road.
Pete

Well I took the big bike out for a tag and easy ride rather than my normal, beat-the-hell-outa-my-little-bike Thursday. Played on some regular gravel roads out northeast, then hit Bat's Nest. Good clean fun there, so I tried Stone Quarry. Those 2 quad go-arounds are a bit tricky on the beast. Going down-hill (south to north) appears to be the harder direction as it currently stands?!

Anyway, dropped it trying to go up a steep quad part and broke my factory tail rack.

It was going to get replaced anyway with a metal unit for a Pelican case, but not for awhile. Seeing as how I have a trip next week, any of you Columbus Tenere folks able/willing to let me borrow their oem plastic rack? If you run a top box all the time, I'd be interested in simply purchasing it from you. (I'm probably going to PM EJV and Moby since they don't post here much).

If Mike passes on the offer, it is available to other ADV in OH members as well.

I'll take that spot1 off your hands smartbomb...I'll pm you my address

Mike,

I have the OEM top case on mine but I am not sure where I rat-holed the stock rack. Let me know if you strike out with EJV & Moby and I will search some more.

Not many satellite units work under heavy tree cover. The tracker never gives up until sent, may take a few minutes. Also, lithium batteries in that unit last months. Regular batteries 3-4 days as I recently found out. So you pay 2x for something that lasts 10x

In short, what's your life worth?

From my understanding the Spot 2 eats batteries compared to the Spot 1. I use lithium in my Spot 1 and they last almost an entire season.

Mikef,

At least you broke the bike on one of those Stone Quarry Quad Go 'Rounds when you dropped it. Two Saturdays ago I did the same on SQ, except instead of the top box ripping off, AC Separation of the Right Shoulder. Rode the bike down and back to C'bus that way, hard core. The Xray looked cool. No riding for a week sucked.

I want to keep the rack, occasionally, I take the top box off. Maybe Moby? Or Buckeye56

Next time I do SQ, I'm bringing a chain saw.
