Thursday? I'm getting the feel for the geography of the area finally and can put stuff together, a bit awkwardly, but it's getting there....

I've been reading up on GPS stuff because my phone's GPS sucks and will no longer locate where the hell I am at. I also have confused myself to the point of annoyance... Can someone point me in the right direction for an inexpensive GPS?

My only requirements are being able to load a .whatever file and follow the tracks. I've been using google to draw out tracks and was using my phone to follow them, and that's all I require. I don't care if it's waterproof, ugly, or easy to mount, just a good value and able to follow what I put in it.

I've been looking at the tom tom one on e bay, but I'm confused to it's ability to load tracks and waypoints.

there's how many thousands of acres there? certainly enough for both horses and bikes to enjoy without annoying or interfering with each other

I thought that was my point. The motorcycles have their areas the horses have theirs. No?

Neither do guns and horses but they allow riding in hunting areas.

and horses can be taught to deal with gunfire...just as I'm sure they can be taught to tolerate motorcycles

What the hell do guns have to do with sharing trails? Smart people stay out of hunting grounds during that season anyhow. Next thing you know you'll be complaining some guy in a harley jacket and bandanna, hunting with a chrome 12 gauge wasn't ATGATT on the hunt

If you think training a dog to mind gun fire, motorcycles and thunder is hard, try it with a 2000 lb animal that will stomp your ass to death and not feel bad about doing it. My neighbor has a Rottweiler, and Harley's that aren't too loud, the Rot goes crazy every time he starts his bikes and that dog grew up with them.

It might be possible you could train a horse to tolerate a motorcycle (I defer to GCMK) but then as soon as you do, some asshole will go roosting by on the edge of control with no muffler and scare the crap out of both the horse and rider with total disregard for eithers safety. On both sides of the fence, there will always be one in every crowd that ruins it for the rest.
