Dam Mark! Glad you're okay. Sorry about the car but sounds like it was the cost of survival from a freak accident.

Wow - Good thing your partner was already taking a dump so he didn't soil himself. Glad you are both ok and were able to revive the driver. As for the Toyota, are you sure you wouldn't rather have a dented up red Dakota 4 door with a cap?

Glad you are ok. Based on the pictures, I think I would be looking at a Dodge Dakota Club Cab with a cap. Red.

And, this is nitpicky and makes me think of the Spinal Tap "Stonehenge" scene, your porch is 2.5 feet, not 2.5". My brain read that and thought, wow, that's the tiniest fucking porch ever...no wonder it didn't stop a truck. Pictures cleared that up.

Needed that this morning

Sheesh Meef, you didn't say you were in the line of fire with that truck coming thru the wall.....If the Civic took the brunt of it, go kiss it, it saved a couple of lives from the look of it. And good job on the woman inside. Sounds like you may have saved her too.

And the Civic....I am not kidding, it will be fine...some plastic film and duct tape it will be good for the winter....the lights are even intact. You let the insurance company have it, you are going to pull someone over for expired plates driving your old Civic with plastic and duct tape over the broken windows!

Holy shit Meef, glad everyone involved is ok.

I know how much you love video clips, and thought of this when I saw the pictures of your car

Red Green would have no problem fixing or modifying your Civic Meef.

I'm off my real job today, and I picked up a 24 hour shift on EMS. It's a nice slow day and I'm chilling on the couch, when we get a run dispatched. I yawn and pull my boots on, when suddenly, an explosion comes from outside so close I can feel it in my chest.

I just have time to start looking up towards the noise when the wall of the station disintigrates, and a pickup truck comes sailing in to the living room.

It hits the couch I'm sitting on, just barely, but vaporizes the wall and most of the living area.

I leap up and out of the way and scream like a little girl. A second or two elapse and I recover sufficiently to go to the driver's door of the truck. A woman is behind the wheel, unresponsive, with two little kids are inside screaming and crying.

I pull the door open, and the woman is in cardiac arrest.

I yell for my partner (who was in the bathroom, taking a shit). Like he didn't hear armageddon bearing down on us anyway...

I drag the woman out of the cab and onto the floor, and start CPR.

My partner comes running out, pants all askew, and we work this woman for a few minutes and are successful in getting a pulse and respirations back.

A second EMS truck arrives and we get her loaded up and she is transported, current condition is alive and talking.

The station is destroyed. So is my car. She hit my Honda, ricocheted off the car, bounced over a 2.5" porch, and into the station.

Had my car not been there to slow her down I suspect she'd have probably killed both my partner and I. We were both in the path of the truck, the bathroom is basically on the other side of a wall about ten inches from where her bumper stopped. Not to mention, she would likely have died since it would have been another 5 minutes for the other EMS truck to get there and start working her.

Fucking craziness. And the ultimate irony, after all that, we were still on duty, and we get a run... to the local hospital... to take the driver to a cardiac hospital.

My life is sooooooo boring.
