I would skip the diamond plate and monster beading and just go with smooth aluminum and sand the edges. I have some smallish scraps of aluminum sheets if you want to try it.

Naw, I like the floormat look, juxtaposed against the landing strip illumination array, I think it's the perfect blend of KLR-cheap and Touratech-posh. I bet that guy's a Rush fan, but he's not too manly to admit he likes Downton Abbey and cried when Matthew and Mary tied the knot.

That's what I'm sensing.

(someone's gonna take me serious again and get bent out of shape cause I made fun of Rush)

Out here on the range I could really justify a lighting array like that.

Fuck yeah, if that wasn't faux diamond plate it'd be good. Basically just a cover for the back of the instruments is all I want. Black, clear, either are fine.

I don't think a high school football stadium could justify all that.

Clark Griswald would be proud of that set up.

He gave Viagra a bad name, like I need something else to be ashamed of.

Found it! Grainger sells 12x12" (larger too) pieces of EPDM rubber, which is weather/sun resistant.
http://m.grainger.com/mobile/details/?R=1MYB6
1/8" might work. 1/4" is probably better.

I think this will fit the color scheme of his bike. It is cheap, plentiful, and keeps him reminded of his KLR days.

Do you just want me to pickup a piece of truck mudflap for him? Hell, he could go klr and commercial grade in one mod.

Surely you can find a cutting board in that size and Fusion it in a matching color.
