Does the mud smell better? I swear 1 time at Perry stuck a fork in my chain, sprockets, and wheel bearings.

The Wayne mud is a more fresh, airy taste, robust but not heavy...with a hint of almond. It's a lovely summer blend that goes well with greens, or just as a main course.

Nice riding with you guys today. Me and my son had a good time even with the grief I gave him about old men on big bike being baster then a young punk on a 125!

Displacement versus Skill?

Well no gravel roads and no water crossings but a fun afternoon of slab with the top down, the V8 on the red line, the boys in the back seat smiling ear to ear and the wife in the front seat yelling slow down. We saw lots of bikes out today. Passed a group of sport bikes outside of Killbuck and another group in Danville.

More fun that I remember it was -

[QUOTE=indypup;20018557]Well my WRR pussed out on me. I was all ready to head over to Greenville this morning and noticed that my front tire was flat. QUOTE]

Listen - the gods were speaking to you! You were not destined to ride today!

(get the right bike first. . . . )

You were just saved from insult, injury and equipment damage. You saved 60 miles of gasoline an an entry fee. And they chose a likely failure to stymy you - a hapless flat tire. . . always keep a pair of cheap (or expensive) tubes on the shelf. I'd hate to loose a day or riding for want of a tube or a patch kit.

I mentioned your name down at the Wayne today - Do you think The Pup rode the enduro today? I said, 'yeh, but he's as nervous as whore in a church right now - or else he's going to have to lie about it riding it'. And here, you got a personal reprieve.

Also, thought you'd really would have liked the Wayne main corridor today - it keeps you on your toes (especially leading with on-coming traffic - thx Craig). MikeF5000 said it was his first ride down there and he was tearing it up! Staying up with the fast crowd and not making rookie mistakes.

The last I checked the GPS, we did close to 40 miles overall and averaged 17.9 mph - that's a pretty good clip considering it's off-road and essentially, never level riding. I know I was tired out the last 10-12 miles. We finished up riding about 2:30pm - it felt like about 5:00 to me.

Had a great time with the guys down at New Straitsville - quite a variation of equipment - I'm just glad I wasn't on an 800cc road bike! I want to see Byron on set-up 400-450. A 690 will work with a gentle steering input and a good amount of trail attention. Inviz - when you learn to 'go with the flow' on the big thumpers - you'll still be worn out - just not AS worn out. And Benly - your new 250's motor sounded rather 'crisp' - sounded good. I need to give one of those bikes a try.

For those that didn't make it - it was a great run. I didn't think the trails were that busy (where we were). Might have been different down at the Dorr Run end of the forest. We should get another ride organized before X-mas - get Indy Pup in the mix. He can warm-up for the 2013 enduro season.

I was thinking "I need to give one of those bikes a try" the whole time! We should have swapped! (although mine is much less 'crisp' than his.

And... I think the trails close at the end of November, so you've only got 3 or so more weeks to get back.

You appear to have it made....no work, new everything on your WRR and a Mustang GT 'vert.....jerk...I used to have that car's twin in white....though mine looked much more girly for some reason and was a 4.6 instead of the old trusty 5 liter.......

I figured you would like that. I didn't mention it only has 33000 miles on it.
