![]() What lies beneath: Wanna race? It's faster than either of my mc's, but slower than a 'Busa. It should do mid-low 11s in the quarter next spring (about 600HP @ 4700lbs). Enough to get me kicked out, since there's no cage.

Nice lightning! I love those things. Fast trucks are great, I miss my old Cummins rocket ship that would embarrass most "fast" cars between lights.
I've had a few low 11 second fox bodies, a worked over Merkur XR4Ti (german version of the SVO turbo 4 cyl), and right now we are (slowly) building my wife a 65 mustang coupe with an explorer sourced 5.0 (same heads and intake ford sells as GT-40 pieces), a TKO T-5, 4 wheel discs, and a 8.8 rear with Currie guts. It's going to be a vintage road course clone instead of a straight line car and hopefully an auto-x runner. Day1: ![]() What it sorta looks like now, I had a hell of a time getting the wheels for the look I wanted, 68 Cobra factory steelies. ![]() The next project I have cooking in my head is a 32 ford highboy .......

Rod parts are pretty easy to find these days if you don't mind repro parts. I've considered building a T bucket myself.

It was my moms. She bought it in 2001 with 28000 miles on it, built a garage to keep it in and didnt drive it much. I would drive it a couple times a year when she was on vacations away from home until the old lady next door started telling mom I was driveing it. Mom told Kyle he could have it when she passed away but it doesn't seem like the right car for a 16 year old boys first car.
Matt I bought a real nice 1965 with a 6 cyl. a few years ago for a $1000.00. It was white and real clean inside and out. I played with it for a summer and sold it in the fall for $3000.00. If it would have had a V8 I would have kept it. Fun little car to bang around in and got lots of looks but the little 6 was lame for a sports car. Ruppster, nice looking truck. |

Nice. I've got a 94 lightning, but sadly it only runs 13s. It's a lot of fun on the street, and a great tow vehicle.

I traded a boat I had nothing in straight across for our '65, 90k original miles and had been in a barn since 1980. I drove it around a bit before i decided the brakes were too shitty and the C4 wasn't shifting too well.....It got pushed to the back of the garage until after the house is done.
That convertible is waaaay to nice for a 16 year old......however, I had two 5.0's in high school and I'm still here.... This was the newer one, 347 stroker in this one, ran a 11.26 on the shittiest slicks ever and 3.73 gears. I was 17 and my mom took this picture in front of their house..... ![]() my 98 GT vert. ![]() and two more stupid toys...
