Given the weather I decided to play it safe and enjoy my version of black friday, OSU style.

It Stone Quarry passable now?

Sion and I riding together is just BAD news. Thats the 3rd time we have rode together and every time he has had bike problems. Or maybe its just the Danville curse. We didn't ride Stone Quarry. Didn't want to gimp up my leg any worse. It started snowing about 2 miles from home. It was a short ride but a fun ride and good to be back riding with you guys. Thanks again Matt.

Dorr Run - Wayne National Forest

For what it's worth -

My cousin had his pick up truck broken into at the Dorr Run trail head last weekend. Knocked out the rear window. Took his(empty) jeans and left $1000. of tools behind the seat. Guess his fence is stocked up on tools - not worth the effort. What would they do with tools anyway?

Tough keeping the meth habit going with X-mas gifts coming due for 3 sets of in-laws. A real criminal would take the challenge of a Wal-Mart parking lot.

I don't like to hear this is happening but it seems to be S.O.P. nowadays down at the Wayne parking areas.

Just a heads-up if you're thinking of parking down there when there's not many riders around the lot.

I just got home, it was a cold ass trip from Danville to my house, snowing pretty good when I pulled into my driveway.

We had some annoying KLR 250 issues, resulting finally in tearing the carb off and down at the end of big hill road. Half the crew split off at Danville, Alan, Penner, and I proceeded to hammer the usual roads.

We hit the bottom of Quarry. Didn't go any further than the split at the bottom of the hill.

those were some pretty good roads you took us on...some of which I'd like to ride on my Sabre, others on my XR (or some other dual sport...I've just about had my fill of the XR)...thanks for letting me ride the little KLR (even with the carb issues) and for leading the ride. Oh and tell your wife thanks again for letting me warm my hands...made the ride home from your house almost tolerable. Friggin wind was brutal.

Thanks Kory and the gang for a great ride. Hopefully this will become a tradition for me.
Man that looks like fun!

I hear about this regularly, in fact some toolbag swiped a nice aluminum ramp from me at Perry 2 years ago.

I'd love to hear about some poor sap sick of being victimized catching these bastards and lopping their hands off with a kukuri; forever to be branded as thieving fucks.

After all, the same desolation the thieves use to their advantage can easily work against them... no witnesses, no video, no one to say what really happened; just a pile of hands and a bunch of rednecks filing addendums to their social security disability claims to include loss of an appendage for reasons unreported.
