There's a reason it's cheaper....usually at the cost of lower data throughput and loss of roaming.

I am on Virgin/Sprint and I love the $35 a month with no contract, but it comes at the cost of less coverage and slightly slower speeds....but I'm not a power user and 95% of where I go I have signal.
Down here you can choose between Att & Verizon if you pick StraightTalk. A few of their Androids are on Sprint I think, it's pretty bad coverage. I'm on an att StraightTalk android phone, it works great. Before you port, you need to know everything about your old account, including online passwords and PIN numbers. If you don't, porting will be a pain in the ass. When you call support you will get someone with a heavy accent. Some are worse than others.
After that it's easy to switch phones, you can just pick one up at Walmart (or online) and they'll transfer the number for you. At&t type phones allow you to just swap SIM cards.

I'm kind of tempted... I've been out of contract with Verizon for like 7 years and ting would save me a lot on cel service, in fact it looks like for $40 or so a month I could cover my current uses of text, calls, and an adequate amount of data.

Curious if it's as good as the online reviews say it is.

Never heard of them. I've done a fair amount of research in the past few months and Page Plus sounds like the best route, since they use the Verizon network, AND there customer service call center is in the US (actually in Ohio, IIRC). My Verizon contract is about to expire, so I'm making the jump soon. Tired of paying $100/month for voice and text for my wife and me

Merry X x-mas. Picked this up today for Kyle for xmas. 2008, 8500 miles. Seems unmolested other then the spark arrestor is missing and some lame aftermarket turn signals on the rear. I made it home without him seeing it just need to keep it out of site until the 25th.

Is that the one from Indianapolis? I forgot to answer your message. Looks good. What was the price, if I can ask?

No I hate driving and wasn't sure the old truck would make it to Indianapolis. I was looking online for a ktm690 and found it at Ohio Motorcycle in Cleveland. I hated buying from a dealer but since xmas is so close I didnt have much choice. $3000.00 plus $175.00 doc. fee.
How was the ride today?

Seems like a good price, especially from a dealer. That defeats the argument someone on here was making about not finding any good used ones for a decent price locally.

The ride was good. I was hoping you'd show. There were 3 of us, we did a nice bit of gravel and one too-gnarly-for-my-tastes abandoned road out of the east side of Wills Creek and 93. We also dabbled in Egypt Valley - I had no idea there were public roads in Ohio with cattle grates and open range cattle but apparently there are in the EV! Amish hair pie for breakfast in Danville, and lunch in Cambridge. I had about 230 miles, I believe Mike and Ben had more since they had 110+ miles of freeway home and I only had 30 miles of gravel and paved twisties back from Egypt Valley...

I really enjoyed today's ride, it was a good mix of every kind or road aroun here. Used the tenere and its hefty bash plate as an ice breaker through some ruts/puddles. At times the sides of the roads were so frozen they looked like they were covered in snow. My day was in the ballpark of 325 miles.
