I have these, they were way cheaper than frog toggs, so I gave them a shot. Really happy with them, wore a few times on the bike and many times mowing in the rain. They have held up really well, kept me dry, and prob have 2 seasons left in them.

Anyone on here know The Stew in Clayton? Need to get ahold of him and don't think he has his PM alerts set.

Thanks,

There's a reason it's cheaper....usually at the cost of lower data throughput and loss of roaming.

I am on Virgin/Sprint and I love the $35 a month with no contract, but it comes at the cost of less coverage and slightly slower speeds....but I'm not a power user and 95% of where I go I have signal.

Just to revisit this for a minute, I looked at Page Plus and actually tried to call their CS to ask a few questions, was on hold for 20 minutes before I gave up. Tried the next day, same story. Their website was not very informative, either.

I also looked some more into Verizon's prepaid service and was displeased with their costs and features.

Straight Talk had good prices but the reviews of their shitty customer service left me concerned.

I decided to go with ting.com, even tough they are on the Sprint Network. Locally, there is good coverage for voice and data on Sprint. The big selling point for me with ting though, was that when I called to ask my questions, there was no automated system; a human being answered the phone on the second ring and had my answers for me. Their website, also, is very informative, and is written in a funny / quirky way that shows the powers that be there have a good sense of humor. Also, ting has a $50 discount code online (google it) and that made the Samsung Transform Ultra android phone $26; my monthly service will run about $23. I pay $55 for just voice and text messaging through Verizon, so the first month with ting I will have basically the same bill (but with data, too); and after that my bill will be less than half the cost of the Verizon service.

I've got some time off coming up during the holidays, maybe we can get together and ride some of the unmaintained roads down in Tar Hollow area, if the weather cooperates. Got room for 2 bikes in my truck and I think I'll have the XR running soon...gonna spend some time with it on Monday.

Spam Alert: I just posted my Husaberg for sale in the Flea Market. I picked up a 2011 KTM XC this weekend, and now the wife says I need to sell a bike.
